Hi IF Family,
Not new, but new here. I have mostly been a silent member, as you can already make out from my profile... well, that is not what I'm here to discuss... This is not frustration thread, either. What I am here to do, though is call out on the CVs for thinking that Indian audience is still going to take BS and enjoy it too!
It was a great showdown between Anupama and her bestest buddy... But pray tell me, why was it necessary in the first place? This is no joke that the CVs are playing at... Foremost, divorce is the first step to break free from a toxic relationship... Cool, they did it and it feels great. Second, no freaking woman or man will live under the same roof post divorce, no matter what... What are they trying to portray? Women in our society are anyway most oppressed, but to drag it to this level for drama is beyond me. Matlab alag level dhaniya mirchi is happening here 🥴
Now that she is divorced, who are these so called people to tell her what to or what not to do? It's pouring toxicity in our cups in the garb of 'newness'. We have all come a long way in our respective journey's, times have been tough on all of us and if anything, we have come to understand—self love is the most important aspect in life. It should not only be talked about, but practised too. So why are we hanging by threads to watch a show that is toxic on so many levels, even if there is sometimes balance? Aren't we all carrying trauma based responses within to be able to justify watching this show? As if all wrong done in the world will be avenged by Anupama alone 😅 I know, it's got a bit intense, but felt like saying it out loud!
While the finite series or season based shows have really outdone themselves, the daily soaps seems to be struggling with holding onto the foundation they were built on.
What are your thoughts, if this was a real life situation, how would you play your part in this whole toxic scenario? Looking forward to your responses!
Love and Light,
Radhika
