I think you can like a lot of people at the same time. But I always get confused on the couples who say they are in love with each other, obsessed with each other but still wants to see other people. Why you want to cheat or see other people if you claim the person you are with is the person you are so in love with that you can't live without them and you want to be with them forever? I can understand if a couple was together for so many years they get bored with each other but I have seen newlywed couple who are so in love with each other, obsession type of love cheating on each other and I get confused.

Infidelity is more about the lack of honesty and transparency. Polygamy is about openly having more than one partners, with no lying, dishonesty, etc.

Loving two people does not necessarily mean polygamy. You can love someone your whole life without ever being with them.
