However, this is my reasoning. Bapuji had a soft corner, was nice to Anupama from the beginning. When V's affair came out, he felt sorry for her. Sorry that it should not have happened to her, sorry that his son was the cause of grief for Anupama. So, he must have decided to do some damage control by giving her a part of share in his property.

All that is good, but knowing Anupama's weakness ( family/baa/bapuji etc) he used that as the bait to retain her in the house. He could not imagine anyone but Anupama running the household, hence the weird arrangement.

I feel, that bapuji thinks he is very progressive and open minded and wants to set an example to the society by giving her all the status as if he would treat his own daughter.

He is not progressive or her savior by any means. In fact, he doesnt understand how big of a disservice he has done to her. His mistakes - does not prevent his wife, baa from continuing to taunt her. Nor does he stop others from illtreating her. He is preventing her fro being independent.

Honestly, if someone loved their bahu as dearly as their own daughter, they would not let this sort of treatment to be metted out.

Anupama OTOH is a fool to give in to his emotional drama. There is no other way to put it, she needs to leave the house. Period. Leaving the house & living seprately does not mean she should disrespect them or anything. She can still continue to have an amicable relationship with everyone.

The way Anupama acts about bapuji medicines etc... is over the top exeggaration. Give me a break!

If bapuji wanted he could have helped her become independent. Like bare minimum isn't anu meant to get alimony from vanraj and alongside that bapuji could have given share in his property? 🤔 Bapuji should have allowed her to find her own place to stay and become independent that way as she would get alimony from vanraj, share in bapuji property and she would also be earning her own money from dance classes and cooking classes at school etc.

After anuj anupama dance, he should have said there’s nothing wrong in it... it’s all up to anupama, whether she wants to be friend with anuj or not

He should have made anupama to be open minded and she should let love enter in her life... she deserves to be loved by someone:.., of course it would be anupama’s decision... But she should not reject anuj’s love because of her age or what people would say... also there’s nothing wrong to stay alone... he should support anupama all time

When his budiya biwi and chudail bahu were shooting their mouth off at anupama for dancing with anuj, bapuji said nothing to defend his daughter by saying what is the issue with anupama dancing with her male classmate if their son vanraj can have an affair, divorce and remarriage in this age when he has kids who are married/ of marriage age himself? 🤢 Will bapuji too show issue with the idea of anupama moving on by remarrying? 🤢

Babuji wanted her to give her financial security by giving her a share in house but he ended making anupama a servant of whole shah household. She is answerable to her ex, his new wife and ex saas.

It's better babuji let anupama go if he really consider her his daughter and not a caretaker.

It’s high time bapuji should shut up Kavya , vanraj and Leela for asking personal level questions to anupama and for keeping restrictions on anupama!

Agar Bapuji itna bhi nahi kar sakte toh unko anupama ko beti bolne ka koi haqq nahi hai !land it’s clear muft ki maid ko beti bol kar apna kaam nikalwa rahe hai 😡

Seriously this bapuji is actually an enemy in disguise of a well-wisher. He's clipping her wings for his own wants and needs by holding her in that house, but he could at least do the bare minimum and tell kavya and vanraj especially that they have no right to interfere in anu's life or comment/ question about things to her and they should concentrate on their own life. Then he should also shut up his wife and say she couldn't teach her own son anything so why teach anupama and try and hold her back from wanting to move on? He isn't saying the much needed things to the deserving people at all. 🤬
