Yes even if you go back and dissect Mir Hadi, he only used to think that khaani was his obsession til she mocks him and gives him a reality check to only make him realize that he ran after winning her physical self that he forgot how much she loathed him. Then he lets her go reinforcing the fact he genuinely loved him too.

Farhad’s case is again complicated but a guy like him who would go all nuts just to see his lady once, just to see not anything else, it’s not obsession, it’s devotion, he made wrong decisions that hurt his family but in such scenario nobody has the right state of mind to choose the wiser future too.
