Vanraj never ceases to amaze me. That man has the audacity to demand an explanation for something Anupamaa said when they were still married. This man had an extramarital affair for 9 f***king years and he has the nerve to stand there and question someone else's honesty? And all this for what? Because she was dancing with another man? They were not even holding hands. Vanraj was sleeping with someone who wasn't his wife for nearly a decade. I loathe that man with all my heart. Yes, he is just a character. But this is what men are like in our society. They can do whatever the hell they want with zero thought to the consequences to their actions but God forbid a woman enjoys herself for one night, they suddenly become the torchbearers of truthfulness.
And why the hell was Anupamaa giving him an explanation? She should have just said 'I don't owe you justification for my actions anymore' and left it at that. Also, do Vanraj and Kavya have nothing better to do? Does the world have only woman named Anupamaa? Naam suna nahi ki aa gaye sar uthake dekhne ke liye. It's pitiful. THEY are obsessed with her, not the other way around as Kavya points out every now and then.
Vanraj gets to walk around his house with his head up high even after what he's done because he is allowed to be that way. Not that I expected anything from a family who wanted a woman to forgive the man who betrayed her and not divorve him.🤢No one needs to say anything to him. His parents still have their son and they also get to keep Anupamaa as their 24×7 caretaker. Anupamaa lost her dignity and self-respect but no one else lost anything. So it's all hunky-dory for everyone in the Shah House. Vanraj gets to keep his house, parents, children, a brand new wife, his respect and his pride AND someone to look after his parents. Zindagi mein aur kya chahiye? Vanraj ke toh maze hain.He freely gets to be an a**hole.
And at this point, the writers have almost caricatured Kavya's character. I have second hand embarassment whenever she is on-screen. I also skip through Samar and Nandini's scenes. Just like Toshu, Samar has proved he is ultimately his father's son, a manchild.
The highlight of the episode was Anuj and his interactions with Anupamaa. You can already see her true self peeking through when she is around him, free and jovial. It was truly a delight to watch.
