Yeah, after spending a month in Anesthesia, I like it 😆

My general flow of things (since it's different in the US) is:

--Good work/life balance (specialties like Surgery, OB/GYN don't offer that)

--Ability to take long vacation if I want to (primary care would be difficult to take a 3 month gap since patients come year round, and they are your patients... Emergency and Anesthesia are nice in that none of your patients are yours after their visit is done)

--Fast work pace with critical thinking skills (I found medicine to be slower when I went on rounds since doctors needed to wait on labs, imaging, etc. before making decisions)

--Procedure based medicine (I don't like looking at things, so radiology is out.. I like hands-on stuff, but surgery is too much standing)

It might change, but for now, anesthesia it is!

just a lot of assignments and planning for events to do 😭 I am president of my sorority and recruitment week is coming up, and planning events for other organizations I am involved in on campus 😭😭 was going to go home because of long weekend but can't because I have all of this to do
