This was one of my fave songs from Baazigar. Vinod Rathod version used in the movie but here in Anupamaa we got the Pankaj Udhas version. Which suited the scene of Anuj and Anupamaa meeting and played throughout their scene. So natural it flowed well with the scene and the words echoing what Anuj feels and expresses what he unabled to say back then and even now to Anupamaa.

And use of a retro song (even in the movie, the guy in college was in love with the main girl). And why not a retro classic song when Anupamaa and Anuj are from that era of music too.

I love the opening theme of the music, once Anuj eyes sees Anupamaa – the music theme hits like a butterflies fluttering in the music intro. And then the words hits - Chupana Bhi Nahin Aata... Jatana Bhi Nahin Aata. Anuj gazing at her whilst Anupamaa is looking at the singer... I like how at certain moments he would just gaze/admire her as the song plays and those lyrics would come through visually in the scene - its impactful.

Anuj's words held alot of meaning and symbolic of the past and the present and the future. college is the past, present is their reunion and future is yet to come... One fact remain he still has feelings for her.

His first words to her are about his feelings that he was hamesha se tumhara... and that he was after her, and then his mini shayaris as he says "Jo sabse piche rehta tha aaj awaal ho gaya, Lag raha tha kissa aadha tha, Aaj mukammal ho gaya" - I was incomplete but it seems today the completation happened. And - "Sapno mein ek sheher hai, lekin abaad nahin hai, Woh humein yaad hai lekin, uhne hum yaad nahin hai"

To Anupamaa it all seemed like talking in riddles (she made me laugh with her own riddle lol, and when she named him Galib Kapadia lol) and told him to tell her in simple words – Anuj teasingly replies along with her reply too - Bol du.. haan Bol du.. haan... Phir Kabhi – that to me foreshadowing one day he will be able to tell her... He loves her, and always has done. He even tells her to think of shayari's - put in an effort in try to understand them and him.

Anuj has to and is going to fall in love even more with Anupamaa, the one we all know and see and one still remain. And how big her heart is. For him its not about looks and so on. His love has no conditions - Unconditional love.

Anupamaa also said Prince Charming do not exist and only in movies. So this here – she will see that this man can be a Prince Charming and esp to her and for her. Though she didnt get to know him in college or even that he existed as much, but she will get to know him now...and more so understand him and his feelings/love which is what Anuj also hinted at too. Also liked how he was stealing glances at her.

Rupali and Gaurav complimented each other well, and the characters with each other. Their first meeting tells you how their bonding with teasing and banter will be too...

For a long time I had been waiting for either Anuj or anyone who would treat and look at Anupamaa with such love. Give her the respect and acceptance and appreciation she deserves. Because she is special and any one would be lucky to be with her and I believe Anuj sees that and will see that more. Be a support and companionship in friendship and in love.
