Okay guys just wanted to drop by to explain my point of view regarding whether bon knows actually what SR means. I have read a lot of your point of views yesterday but could not comment as I was a little busy. From reading everyone's posts yesterday I inferred majority hold the opinion that bon does not know anything about what it actually is owing to the timeline of the show and the fact that sex education was a taboo in those times(as is even now). Since those times there was no internet it was more difficult to procure knowledge regarding these kinds of topics.

I hold a slightly unpopular opinion. I am personally of the opinion that bon knows what is sex and how it happens. She might not know the biology of it all(as she is not a medical student) but she is educated. "Palang todna" And "chodi tutna" are popular euphemisms for sex and there is no way a 20 year old educated bon actually things that they have to physically break the bed during SR🤣

Bon was always shown as a curious person, so it would be very weird if she has no idea where babies come from.

And last but not the least as a future law aspirant, most laws revolve around the basic fundamentals of sex. From inheritance law,child marriage Act, widow Remarriage act(which people were against as the women was considered impure) , the grounds for divorce(one of which is refusal to have physical relations with your partner) as well as laws regarding r*pe.As a barrister if she does not know what is sex how will she defend or prosecute without knowing the basic stuff. It's like expecting someone to analyse a novel when they aren't even literate.

Plus how can badi bon understand why child marriage is wrong if she does not understand the basic reason people are against child marriage. Then it will be the same like preleap where she used to literally say whatever ani used to tell her. Without understand the matter.

All she believes is love to be necessary and acceptance and trust for any foundation

She knows of kiss,intimacy and closeness and how husband wife unites but not the procedure as she did not feel shy saying all this , as sex education was a taboo in 1930s

But yes she is educated in matter that whatever happens it should be with both consent especially wife and it happens with only those whom we are in love with it is for wish and consent of the girl too not like patnidharm or pleasing which all societal people always thought

Exactly I guess she is aware of intimacy and how husband wife needs love and consent to come close and all but definitely not other things as when she was teaching her she was like bass 😋 and yeh she was like aage but not sex and all things like meaning of palang tutna and chidiya tutna these things were taught to her

Remember, we all were so happy when arc encouraged sourav about physical relationship knowledge??.He wanted girls to know about this aspect too.

Yup,Anirudh. We all can feel u.I am sure everyone felt the same ani bon vibe from that.Bon saying something in her innocence & ani getting bowled over her simple intelligent mind. Then he gave his input about the importance of consent just like a man like ani would,any other day of their life

Again,i was baffled with the dialogue deliveries. This whole episode could have been the cheesiest episode with same old cringy dialogues of itv.

But nothing that sort of happened. They talked about sr,kiss,consent & eventually giving into each other without sounding a least bit cringy.

Everything was done so tastefully.

And, finally. bon did what she always wanted to do.She spoke out loud she loves the man beside her.She has no shame,no fear,no obligations to do otherwise.

Then,we got what we all wanted.A meltdown version of arc chillam chillai🤣

So,i guess everyone got what they wanted 🥳

How a girl is given actual aspect of husband wife relation by a very broad minded and amazing thakumaa where such things were never Tsught to girls by anyone if u see instead kaka showed and spiked ani and told patni ka darja

Thakumaa told about nervousness and what actaully happens when two people out of love acceot this aspect in their relation and how she became a friend to Bondita seeing her naivety

But bon as was in London knows the effect of kiss as she must have seen there in London

Liek periods ,molestation ,good touch and sex education by ani to Saurav

But I don't feel pre-independence era required so much understanding regarding sex education. I am sure the laws weren't as comprehensive those days as it is today.

Because I believe there's a motivation behind introducing or abolishing or amending any law. I am quite sure that behind most of the laws which we have today, there is a history or extreme incident that'd have brought about the change.

For example, speaking of Sati, Raja Rammohun Roy was triggered by the Sati of his sister-in-law which made him fight for its abolishment.

But in those days, people were fine with domestic violence and marital rapes, dusting it off as husbandly rights or wife's duty until someone like revolted after having faced the extremes of these abuses.

Bondita almost faced molestation but was saved and healed by Anirudh. He had also educated her about good touch and bad touch.

Their bond was so strong and pure despite being platonic that she never felt the need to even look at any other man that's not Anirudh. Hence, I feel that explains why she didn't have an understanding regarding sex education apart from what she learnt from Anirudh.

I am kinda feeling high From this episode. Anchal was so graceful as bon.

We can desect & praise every damn second of this epi.

Also,after the intense romanctic talk about consent & kiss how beautifully Anirudh eased his nervous Bondita by mimicking koli dadi? I felt it was an intentional effort from arc to make Bon comfortable. His playfulness got her out of her nervous state & she became his bondita again

His one playful dialogue reminded Bondita her reality again.that come what may,this wonderfully crafted man is all hers.❤️

She was feeling jittery,flustered.just like a new woman in love.Ani was the one who was following Bon, holding her in his arms right after the sr talk.

But just as he left after clearing all her doubts,after clarifying his intentions about her,after giving her all the rights over their relation,Bondita finally came out of her frazzled zone. And this time she was the one who hold him back.And she told him she was all his- anyday,any time.❤️

The forehead kiss if u see

Bo gave ani right to touch her but she was also feeling shy and hesitating

And ani udnerstand if this with a smile kissed her forehead and then hugged her as Bon was not ready for this if u see body language and then Bon was overwhelmed with emotions

If u see ani is so delicate with Bondita nothing crazy nothing pinning for icky this is reels love and it is all due to his overpowering love

He asserted only he has right to love Bondita which I am saying after much time he accepted by himself as more than him no one can love Bondita and he respected Bon consent and bon wishes

And bon giving him right showed after being left overwhelmed with the man who keeps her happiness her comfort and her wish above everything she actually let him love her
