All this is bound to happen. Even when Sakshi TV, a southern channel posts impromptu songs of 5 contestants, Aru takes the limelight away with 50k+ hits when even SMP can manage just 10k hits.

I have heard Nilanjana and Ankona only when they came to the Finale of II 12, but based on that small sample I found Arunita's voice more to my liking and skill level higher than the other 2. But of course, I was already biased by then.

He is human. She (Neelu) calls him Baba. Met him at an younger age and was tutored by him to the point where he became her guru (living where she does, she had no guru). Aru is not a mixer. She makes almost zero friends. May have her own opinion on how a song should be executed.

It is natural to protect and inspire your child (read Neelu). She is affected by the emergence of a talent in her area of competition. I don't really blame Kalkar. I think most pros on set find it hard to be affectionate about Aruinta.

And Neelanjana is a favourite of mine. She is different and will not be mentally affected by Aru's rise. In time I hope Neelu makes a place for herself. She is different and will have her niche. She just has to get away from Alipurduars!!! Nothing will happen to her if she stays protected in the back of the woods.

Same with me - heard them fior tge first time in the finale -- despite watching Saregamapa Bengali 100s of times - I listened to only Arunita there- and I got to know from RealityShow that - Neelanjana, Ankona and Anushka were also there.

But I believe they would have been in different season? Because Wikipedia doesn't suggest that Ankona and Nilanjana were in the same season as Arunita - unless I am mistaken.

I heard that aru and shreyan(sa re ga ma winner) was in same season?

Whatever be the reason, these indian idol mentors like neeraj etc have been treating aru different from other contestants and it shows..

Aru doesn't deserve such treatment and I'm glad some fans are speaking up

There are differences.

Ankona is younger than the other 2 and has a shrill high pitched voice. Her main problem for shows is that she perpetually looks sleepy and unsmiling. She has talent but no pizazz.

Neelu is honey voiced and a perfect tuneful singer. But is handicapped by lack of formal classical training. She delivers more emotion than the 2 others but cannot match their range of skills.

Aru is most talented of the lot and has excellent stage presence.She also has tons of character that comes through when she is on stage. Once she gets older she will do even better with the handling of emotions in some songs. I think she tutors herself at this stage and play acts the emotions. Also, she is prone to be perfect and does not always let loose. She is simply outstanding when she sings freely.

My 2 cents. I think I know Aru and Neelu pretty well by now and have heard Ankona over 3 competitions though I am no fan of hers.
