Nope! But he looks cleaner, doesn’t smell like tel masala, even if he smells does make it a point to take a shower. Still wears the same clothes but washed and neatly kept. Kathir mostly washes his clothes but offlate Mullai offers to help him and he lets her.
He does wear fancy clothes on special occasions or festivals as per Mullai’s liking.
Otherwise it’s the same old Kathir. OG writers are not cruel, they didn’t change Kathir just so he can be accepted by Mullai. They wrote it in such a way that Kathir himself wanted few changes in his life on his own, Mullai also didn’t want him to change completely.

Happy Janmashtmi to those celebrating! We used to celebrate it in grand style back when I was little and used to have plays, Garba, and raas-leela!
I miss it here! Janmashtmi and Diwali are two festivals I loved celebrating it in India.

I hope makers do not change Shiva's look here also. Wearing some different clothes on some festival is ok but they should not change his look..his hair needs to be little bit shorter thats it
Btw I think we will get Shiva's shorter hair look after confession only .

We also celebrate both with lot of fanfare and Dusshera also. I do continue the tradition in a small scale here as well but this year we can’t because of my FIL’s death in March. Per our tradition we cannot celebrate any festival until his death anniversary as my husband did the last rights.
