Last part ladies. Hope it meets your expectations
Shiva saw Raavi devastated. He saw her running away to his room. And memories rose uncalled in his mind- last time she had run like this to a room, he had pulled her down from the noose. His heart caught in his throat and his feet took him towards his room almost involuntarily. He heard his mother and Bhabhi speaking whose fault it is in the background but all he remembered is the image of Raavi trying to hang herself and then the feel of her limp in his arms. He can't let her be alone right now no matter what.
Then just at the door he heard the words. He heard her saying that she liked him and wanted him as her husband. He heard her saying that she tried so hard to become what he wanted in his wife yet she couldn't. She couldn't fit in. He heard her say that she would free him.
And his heart broke all over again. It had broken with her cries of anguish. It broke again at her mechanical voice in the end. What even made her think that she needed to change for him? She needed to fit in with him?
And he stepped in calling Raavi. He was grateful to Rishita Bhabhi for being with her. And he saw she was just as affected by whatever Raavi spoke. Though he needed her to leave now, he knew he had to thank her sometime for standing by Raavi throughout the month. Rishita looked up at Shiva and silently made her way out. Raavi looked at him shocked to see him there. And then she turned away as if to prevent him from seeing her in her current devastated state. She was late- in that one moment, Shiva had seen her beautiful face ravaged by tear streaks. He had seen her eyes longing for him yet accepting defeat. He had seen emotions flit across her face from shock to sadness to acceptance.
Outside he heard Rishita Bhabhi calling out to his mother and Bhabhi to let them both be. He will be grateful for this to her. Because he knew right now it's only them who can handle each other heal each other. Raavi had tried her best to mend this relation but now they need to talk. They need to make each other clear- their feelings have to be out in the open for both of them to move ahead together. Yes together; if Raavi wished to be with him, there is no way he will push her away.
"Chinta mat kar. Chali jaungi kal. Ek mahine mei maine sab try karliya par tera dil nahi jeet payi. Tu ek bahut achha insaan hai Shiva chahe teri baatein kadvi hoti hai aur tera gussa sab kuch khatam kar dene jaisa. Mai hi tere layak nahi hu. Aur banu bhi kaise- maine bhi tujhe kitna kuch bulaya hai, sataya hai. Har baar jab tu mere wajah se hurt hua uss ke liye sorry. Mai har baar yahi socha ki tu mujhe sunaega toh mai bhi sunaungi par ab samaj chuki hu ki mai limit cross kar leti thi. Mera koi haq nahi tha tujhe sunane ka ya mazak karne ka. Mai toh tere liye dost bhi nahi thi. Par mere liye tu dost tha Shiva. Dost chhod parivaar tha. Iss liye tujh par zyada hi haq jama leti thi. Maaf kardena. Tujhe iss sab se azaad kardungi. Maami ki behen ki beti se. Aur Dev ki chhodi hui dulhan se. Dua karungi tujhe koi aisi ladki mile jisse tu apna paye aur jo tere layak ho."
She didn't turn towards him while speaking. And her voice cracked at the end. It hurt him more. Shiva grabbed her and turned her towards him. She looked away. He lifted her chin making her look at him and saw her teary eyes. He cupped her face in his hands and kissed her forehead. He pulled her closer to him hugging her.
"Shiva."
"Shhhh. Ek dum chup. Kya kya sochti hai tu. Tu mere layak nahi hai? Mai tere layak nahi hun. Yahi soch ke maine sab kuch tabah kiya ki tu mujhse alag hokar khush rahegi. Mujhe tere mazak se koi problem nahi thi kabhi bhi. Par maine tujhe utna mere saath muskuraate hue kabhi nahi dekha. Mai..."
"Shiva kya keh raha hai. Sab se zyada khul ke mai tera saath rehti thi. Asli Raavi. Koi dikhawa nahi. "
"Toh abhi badal kyun rahi thi mere liye. Tera naam Raavi hai matlab nadi. Paani nahi hai ki jaha jayegi khud ko dhaal degi. Nadi hai jo apna rasta khud banati hai. Maine tujhe kaha tha pehle bhi ki asal dost woh hote hai jinhe aap waise pasand aaye jaise aap ho."
"Mujhe nahi farak padta. Agar yeh rishta bachane ke liye mujhe apna wajood badalna pade mai taiyaar hu par phir bhi mai tere liye nahi ban paungi. Tu khush nahi reh payega. Iss liye mai iss rishte se.."
"Aage kuch mat bol. Meri puri baat sunegi tu aur kuch nahi bolegi. Raavi mai khud ko nahi badal sakta mai woh nahi ban sakta jo tu chahti thi.."
"Par mai nahi chahti tu badle. Tu toh aisa hi perfect hai. Mai waisi ban jaungi jaisa tujhe chahiye. Mai.."
Shiva placed his finger on her lips. He dragged her gently to their bed. And made her sit down on his lap.
"Tujhe aisa kyun lagta hai ki mai tujhe badalna chahta hu? Mujhe meri Raavi wapas chahiye. Jisse bachpan se dekha hai. Mujhe ab koi farak nahi padta tu maami ki behen ki beti hai. Ainda khud ko chhodi hui dulhan mat bolna. Tu meri dulhan hai. Meri biwi. Dua kar rahi thi na ki mujhe woh ladki mile jisse mai apna pau. Mujhe tu chahiye. De payegi?"
"Mai toh teri hun Shiva. Tu mera nahi hai"
Her saying it do decisively as if it is universal truth soothed his heart more than he could describe. She was his?
"Mai tera hi hun pata nahi kab se. Tere ilawa kabhi kisi ladki se baat bhi nahi ki. Nahi pata kaise izhaar karte hai par tu mujhe pasand hai. "
Raavi's face showed astonishment at his pronouncement.
"Pasand hu? Phir mujhe alag kyun kar raha tha?"
"Mujhe laga ki tujhe mai pasand nahi hu. Aur mujhe teri doston ki baatein bhi bahut hurt ki aur.."
"Shivaaa. I am sorry. Mai tujhe kabhi samjha nahi paayi. Mere doston ki baatein ek dum galat thi. Arey tu toh heera hai."
"I am sorry. Maine uss din tujhe.."
"Shiva rehne de na. Kya purani baatein pakad jar baith gaya." She said trying to stop him. Shiva could see she did not want to be reminded of that painful day. But he had to clear things today. He can't let it hand over their heads like a sword
"Nahi. Sun. Mai tere baarein mei aisa bilkul nahi sochta. Gusse mai bol diya. Sahi kaha mera gussa sab kuch khatam kar deta hai. Aage aise na hoga. Aur humari ladai inn chaar deewaro ki bahar nahi jayegi."
"Shiva paka tujhe mai pasand hu na? Matlab tu agar aage jaake mujhe chhod ne ke baarein mei soche bhi mai toot jaungi. Mujhse nahi saha jayega."
Shiva saw the fear of abandonment in her eyes- the fear that he would leave her. She looked so lonely so hurt; he placed his lips on hers pouring all his feelings letting her know what she meant to him. It left Raavi shocked initially but she responded soon enough. When they finally parted, Shiva felt he had never seen a more angelic woman in his life. Blushing cheeks swollen lips eyes closed- she was breathtaking
"Jaan hai tu meri. Alag hone ka sawaal hi nahi hai."
And her expression changed to elation. She looked like herself after such a long time that Shiva wanted time to stop right then. But then something changed again. As she tried to get up, he tightened his hold.
"Kya hua Raavi? "
"Kuch..kuch nahi. Mai woh.."
"Jhoot. Raavi tu mujhe bata sakti hai. Bol baat kya hai."
"Mujhe dar lag raha hai pyaar se. Khushiyon se. Last time jab bahut khush hui thi uske baad kangan ke liye chhod dega bola tha. Phir sab sahi ho raha tha woh Sneha aur diary aagaye..aage phir kuch..."
Raavi was afraid to love. His Raavi. and Shiva felt sad that he contributed to this fear too. What all had she seen- his strong woman. Raavi washed away his insecurities- he would wash away her fears. Never again would Raavi fear abandonment- he resolved.
"Mujhpe bharosa kar. Inn kuch mahino mai bahut dard diya hai tujhe par aaj ek vada karta hu- kuch bhi ho tu mujhse alag nahi hogi. Abhi nahi. Kabhi nahi "
That night they didn't go out of the room. They remained in each other's embrace assuring each other that they were together. And nothing would separate them again. Enough of tears for both of them. Now they needed to collect their happiness.
......
Two months passed. Shiva and Raavi had never been happier. They always had their chemistry and comfort but what they lacked was communication. They had made it a pact that night- whatever might happen, each night they would talk about how they spent their day; they would share their sorrows and insecurities. Not conversing had brought them to a stage where they would have lost each other forever. They were determined to never reach that stage ever again.
In these months, Shiva had grown bolder with his touches and kisses yet he always made sure that Raavi was comfortable. A blushing Raavi was his favorite sight. However what he loved the most was that he brought back the original Raavi- the funloving and happy Raavi. Her Colgate smile was back. So were her trying to irritate him. She was back and she was his. There is nothing more he wanted.
Raavi was content with her life. She had been afraid to love but now she could happily claim to live her bhootnath. She needed to confess to him now and she wanted it to be special to him. She knew he loved her. His actions left no scope of doubt yet Raavi still wanted to hear from him too.
Raavi made Shiva's favorite dishes and placed them on the table. It was only two of them for some hours and then Krish would be back first followed by the others.
As Shiva came in asking for his lunch, Raavi went to the kitchen. She told him to serve himself, she will bring water and come.
Shiva saw a paper on the table with an angel emoji heart sign and devil emoji. Angel had Raavi written within it while devil had Shiva written within it. Below it there was a green chipkali emoji drawing heart sign and a ghost emoji. Then there was a flower emoji heart sign and rock emoji.
And his heart sped up with realization that Raavi was confessing, he felt Raavi back hugging him. She placed a sweet kiss on his cheek and said, "Oye hero, baat samaj aayi?"
" Nahi samjha na. Achhe se," Shiva smirked.
"Thik hai. Phoolkumari loves her Chattan Pandya par woh bhootnath mai himmat hi nahi hai confess karne ki," she said pouting.
Shiva pecked her pout. "Achhaji..meri himmat azma rahi hai. "
He pulled her to his lap. "Shiva pandya loves his Raavi. His chipkali"
And as they leaned forward, they heard Krish screaming.
"Hey mhara bhogilaal. Yeh kya 18+ scene dikha rahe hai aap masoom bache ko."
Raavi tried to get up. Shiva just tightened his hold and rolled his eyes at his brother's nautanki.
"Shiva..jaane de. Baaki log bhi aa rahe honge. "
"Chal thik hai. Raat ko continue karenge. "
Raavi's eyes widened at Shiva's smirk and Krish blushed at his brother's words while sending a teasing smile to his bhabhi who looked like a tomato.
All was well in the Pandya universe.
