🤣 The precap are sending me nowadays
He is such a hypocrite. It's justified for him as it's ibadaati ishq but when she does it it's cheating
He cannot handle the pain and hurt, he cannot believe it, his ego is hurt, he is a male chauvinist, complete example of toxic masculinity.
He is using Jasmine. He wants to hurt her as much as she has hurt him and mind you, nothing has been confirmed yet just that she lied and someone else answered her phone.
And he kept lying and shouting at her, yet she trusted him. Despite everything and even asked the right questions.
She is his prize/trophy yet he took her for granted. He is hurt because he always had to think twice *as if* before engaging in ibadaati ishq in the fields.
He was holding Jasmine's hands, doing romantic things with her yet Tejo only high fived Buzzo and shared a laugh.
The hypocrisy is touching the sky.
Definition of male privilege and toxicity.
@mist
It would have been cool if we could an insight of Fateh from you 🤗
I didn't really want to waste my brain cells on him. But since you asked....here it is, MG.
Analysis:Fateh Singh Virk (after a hiatus 🤣)
Fateh Singh Virk is a vengeful soul.
This is something that I had said since the very starting of this show. For a ML...Fateh has always had the shade of vendetta in his character that had often given me a wary feeling. I should have listened and dropped the show.....alas...I didn't.
Born with a silver spoon in his mouth, Fateh had always gotten everything with ease. He had a rich father who was powerful and intimidating, a mother who dotted on him, grandparents who adored him, a sister who always took his side and two younger siblings who worshipped him. He made easy friends with his happy and Charming behaviour and when faced with the junction of wanting to make his father proud; he took on his father's dreams as his own. He also succeeded in it as he cultivated the skills to become a National Level Boxer and made his father proud. He earned name, fame and fans...but then he saw Jasso one day and fell in love with her overpowering unbound nature.
Jasmine was everything Fateh could not become. His home life while was filled with people loving him had become rather stilted and tedious with his sister eloping and their father taking a turn for the worst. Simran's elopement had torn the illusion of a perfect family and nothing was as it was before. The recklessness, the freedom of life, the careless pursuit of your own wishes; everything was thrown away with his Father turning a new leaf and tightening the leash. His dream which was actually his father's became heavier to bear. So when he saw Jasso....he saw someone he could have been like........ happy, cheerful careless, jovial, and someone who lived life in the moment. There were no expectations, no burden of the sins of a sibling tightening the leash. As such he fell in love with the escape...Jasso....who was unlike anything in his family. Of course, he had not seen the real Jasso. He saw the superficial face and fell...je is slowly seeing her selfish nature now.
And then he met Tejo who was as authoritative and strict as his father and he despised her. He was eagerly vindictive towards her and the way he had humiliated her in front of her own students is proof enough. Yet the moment he found out that she was Jasso's sister.....he knew he had to get in her good books. He had to balance the scales and for the first time in his life....he had to work for something.
Even before he had to work to find a way to take Jasso to Canada....his first work/duty/action that he took for himself and not for any parental expectation was trying to earn Tejo's friendship. This was his first and only genuine effort where he was all alone. In other cases be it wooing Jasso or his career....there were Buzzo, Amrik, Mahi and even Tejo (later) with him. But wooing Tejo to become his friend was one battleground which he entered alone. He fought and struggled to become friends with Tejo while he made his siblings woo Jasso. Which shows that he gave more priority and effort to win Tejo. And genuine effort leaves a mark.
As such he feels protective over that friendship because he had earned it by himself.
Now this is the issue why I feel Fateh is reacting in this manner. His feelings for Jasso were overwhelming and overpowering. He could not decide to support the right thing and cheated his wife. Yet one lie from Tejo has sent him on a hike. The reason for this is very simple.
Jasso was someone he had won.....Tejo was someone whose affection he had earned.
And human beings are more attached to things that are earned by shedding blood and sweat, because what is won can be lost but what is earned is forever yours.
Fateh, the nincompoop, doesn't love Tejo yet. He may never love her in his life....but it would be wrong to say that he doesn't feel something intense for her. It was friendship before but then after their marriage and before their consummation, there was a time when he had literally leaned on her for everything. Whatever he had earned and salvaged of himself has Tejo's imprint on them. A part of him had imprinted on Tejo and no matter how much he proclaims love for Jasso....the bond to Tejo is not so easily torn down.
Jasso was nearly married off for him to react. Tejo just high fived Buzzo. As such he is not furious at the wife Tejo that had supposedly betrayed him....he is heartbroken over his best friend betraying him. She had interacted with Buzzo in a way she had only ever been with him. A part of Fateh still craves that strength of Tejo....that underlying core of steel that had brought him back on his feet...that had solved his issues, that had wrenched him away from the darkness and given him a new life beyond the drowning chasm of pain and anguish. It is that dependency that he had on her that has made it even more problematic for him to break off with Tejo. Frankly their physical relationship doesn't bother him much if he is able to cheat so well. Rather it is that unfaltering support and the light she carried that binds his darkness to her. His darkness, his filthy heart and his worse side is attracted deeply to the purity of her emotions.
Till date he had been hesitant and somewhat regretful due to the feeling of self loathing that he would face at the prospect of cheating on the person who had emitted that light for him. But the sudden BuTejo equation had shaken him because it meant that He can be easily replaced too. Unlike him who has been unable to let Tejo go so as to get back with Jasso, Tejo had easily given his place and shared their camaraderie with Buzzo. This has rattled him to his bones because the earlier Fateh had been broken beyond recognition and was put together by the glue of Tejo's affection and support for him. If that glue (her affection) shifts....that means his pieces won't be held together any more and that scares him. Add to that his misogynistic outlook for he has also been in a household where their mother had always submitted to his father's harsh countenance, he had never expected Tejo to be the one to replace him.
Quoting my first line again, Fateh is a vengeful soul. When he was betrayed by Jasso, he made sure to exact his revenge on her by making her feel that he had moved on. Remember the night he came to Sandhus with noodles for Tejo. He made sure to sit in a position where a fake sleeping Jasso can easily see them. Similarly, he is hurt this time at Tejo's actions and he has decided on a similar course where he is not focused on Jasso's love or moralities. He just wants to hurt Tejo and has decided on a plan to exact his payback.
He physical wound and the entire devastation he has felt is because he had earned Tejo's affections which was the only genuine thing he has done in his entire life for himself and by himself. His dreams were those of others - first his Father and later Jasso's. His friends were easily made. His relations were easily maintained. His fame was easily got and even Jasso was someone he a pataoed with a lot of combined effort. Only Tejo he had earned by himself and that too alone. She is a sign of his victory, of his genuine win, of his ability to come out of the gaping darkness he was in and the core reason of his stable family life with his father's warm regards for him. Any inkling of losing it disbalances him and he rages.
The precap thereby is one of the extreme manifestations of his vindictive tendencies where he wants Tejo to crave him, Tejo to want him and Tejo to fight for him. He wants to feel the pursuit....the longing of someone who is trying to reach him..... the way he wanted it with Jasso when he flaunted that he was into Tejo.
Unfortunately for him.... things will not go according to his plan and his behaviour will slowly turn even more erratic.
Well this was all I had thought of😅
Would love your views.
