It does have something to do with the tragic loss of a child, either him witnessing it or he being directly responsible for it!

I’m not sure whether his child or some child he was very fond of!
he’s had some tragic loss which is also why he is so cynical!
but i really hope it’s some property issue or something apart from an ex who’ll add unnecessary drama to the show

My theory is he is a suspended narcotics officer who is now working on his own to crack the drugs scene. During his investigations he got some leads but his unorthodox methods got him in trouble with his bosses & therefore suspended. But being the passionate cop he is still after the criminals in his own way. And Mansoor uncle knows him for long, must have worked with him earlier & is now helping him. His 2 friends may be undercover officers loyal to him & helping him secretly.

Personal angle is that he was married - either small kid or pregnant wife who sadly died due as a hazard of his policegiri. If small kid then his wife suing him for divorce & neglect. If pregnant wife then MIL suing him for neglect.

This is it, this is the story. He must've been suspended because of his unconventional ways itself and those way only got his wife and child killed. That's why he reacted so strongly to Amrita that day.

Moreover, he said to Mansoor uncle he has always seem spite win not love so could be that he didn't grew up in a particularly nice way too. Mansoor uncle absolutely knows him well because him and his son as fighting his case plus Mansoor uncle cares about him too as evident from their conversation.

I really have a gut feeling it's a mother in law who is suing him, not an ex wife. Wow I really think I should've been this show's writer 🤣🤣
