In the second last episode, I guess.
But the dawn of truth would only leave him in regrets.
As Mehreen would loose her mental balance by the time he would know the truth. The pain of the title track is for that regret only.
I have just read the review of the novel (I can't read Urdu). May be those who have read the entire novel know it better. All that I could grasp is that Mehreen would either go mad or will die. The ost also has some scenes where she is been taken to jail, and she looks like a mad person.
I wish they could have given a happy closure to this perfect a drama. Anyways, this happens to be my favourite alongside Dil Lagi, Daam, Zindagi ., Humsafar and Kankar
I can’t read urdu either, but really wanted to know the story. I ended up listening to an audiobook version on YouTube. Is there a spoiler feature for IF posts to discuss that?

In an interview, Mahira did say that the ending has been changed to make it more optimistic or something, so hopefully we’ll get a happier ending. There has been been small differences here and there between the novel and the show so far. Book Mashal’s totally evil, while TV Mashal seems to have more grey shades. I find that book Mehreen also doesn’t really stand up for herself as much as TV Mehreen does. The show has also been focusing on adults sprouting evil/jealousy/negativity in children, while the book never really delved into that. I personally like the TV show more than the book, but one issue I have with the TV show is the love triangle. There wasn’t really a love triangle in the book. Book Mehreen never had any feelings feelings for Aswad. I feel that her character would have been stronger if the TV show had kept it that way.

Yes Mehreen becoming all weak in the knees the moment she sees Aswad is not really sitting well with me either. But may be they want to show that the girl lived her life without any sahara just because of his friendship and how even he disappoints her in the end.And show wali Mashal is not completely evil? She killed a live bird to get back at Mehreen and keeps on throwing away the poor thing’s inhaler every other day , what else you want her to do bro to prove that she is an evil incarnate?😲
I'm loving the show much except Aswad.... I think the actor himself is not suited for this role...how about Imran Abbas
This character needs someone with a personality, Usman is good. The only other actors who I can think of for this role is Zahid Khan and Feroz Khan but Fawad would be an ultimate fit!
I think considering he is the one take for a ride Usman is perfect for this role.
Zahid is just too strong a personality alongside fawad I think. We want to not like the hero too so it's good they didn't have anyone who disrupts aswads character.

They need to look and have a strong personality because Aswad on the surface is a strong character who was supposed to be this most sought after person in the entire khandaan. As for being the one to be taken for a ride, don’t forget how Fawad gets taken for a royal ride in Humsafar by his bestie and mom. It’s a talent every desi hero needs to specialize in. 😆. We are just having the oh so strong Mr.Shahzaib of Ishq Hai going on a royal trip in the other thread. 😆
True but I also feel that the girls here needed to be the stronger players and not be taken over by an known actors presence if you know what I mean.
Anyway just loving each episode. Aweek is too long to wait !

You have a point and I think you are right. Having a somewhat new guy is probably helping the girls shine even better.
And yep, absolutely loving it. This is Mahira’s shining moment for sure because I never really thought she could act this well, though her screen presence is unquestionable and second to no one!
That's what I mean. I'm not really a fan of her or usman or hareem but I love the story and their presence especially mahira who i feel is Mehreen whereas let's say I am a great fan of Zahid most of the time lol
We as fans sometimes invest more in actor then character cause we like them.
This is definitely Mahira's most uninhibited performance in a while..the ease with which she is performing in some scenes - like "kaunsa majara" - very cute very natural..also the scene where she is craving for a dessert and describing it to Shabo - 😆
The problem with MK in many of her other acting assignments (barring Humsafar and the second half of Sheh-re-zaat) used to be that I felt like she was trying tooo hard to act - it wasnt coming out naturally..her expressions used to look and feel too orchestrated..
here though she "is" Mehreen - Dig it! - Farooq Rind is also a brilliant director, so he can extract really good work out of his actors.
I always liked MK in general - she is just too classy and elegant offscreen and I am a huge fan of her dressing sense in general. Happy for her!
++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Kubra has actually surprised me a lot - considering I dint really think much of her at all as an actor - I think she has done a brilliant job as Mashal - note how she quickly changes her expression in the cafe scene with Aswad - from giddy gooeey eyes to confusion to composing herself and back to lying lol - when he tells her about the painting..I agree that this Mashal is grey - I cant put a finger on it - but I dont exactly hate Mashal - even though her actions are repulsive and sick...but I think it was just wrong to pit her against Mehreen..I find Shagufta to be the most problematic.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Usman needs to change his style of dialogue delivery - its been the same slapstick style of delivering dialogues since Anaa days..but I do think he will be great in the second act of the drama..there is a lot of scope ahead for Aswad..lets see how it goes..
