I neither get very involved off-screen or onscreen. That's how it becomes easier. When you have a certain sense of detachment, nothing upsets you.

I can troll, laugh, love and indulge yet be unaffected emotionally. It's a trait that I follow in my personal life too.

This is self-preservation and sanity! The show is merely a business pursuit for the channel, and the writers will write whatever gives them money!

Rest doesn't matter.

I have always found all the characters flawed in PS from day 1.

The drama has become louder, I agree, but no character is butchered if you ask me.

1. Suman was always a hypocrite and had her skewed sense of insecurity pre-leap too. She used to do more nautanki then.

2. Gautam was a great son, a shallow key guy. The only thing he could command was on his brothers. He still doesn't understand Shiva. He had always scolded him.

3. Dhara- she was exactly like this pre leap too. Extremely loving, but she used to be this one-person army. Baat chupana. She had constantly emotionally blackmailed Shiva and still does. If you go back to my Shiva Dhara posts, he had always been more dedicated to Dhara than any of the brothers, and he always suffered in silence when it came to her.

4. Shiva was always on edge with Raavi. Raavi insulted him most of the time, and he would always be bugged by the way she made fun of him. He enjoyed her attention, but the moment she dissed him, he would feel grumpy and sad. That's what exactly it is now. He is in love and hence wanted a real relationship. Nothing has changed. Had not Shiva read her diary, maybe he would have calmed down.

I don't see anything new in his behaviour right now.

5. Raavi is still blind as a bat.

Anita-She was scheming, but she did love Gautam at a point.

The drama has become Louder, but the characters are still what they were.

I still like the show and certainly love Shiva-Dhara more than any brother bhabhi dynamics.

As always I love reading your views 🤗 Your posts always provide so much insight and help me understand some of the aspects I may have missed on my own.

Coming to shows, I think generally I watch most ITV shows with a sense of detachment. Let’s say 90% of them don’t evoke much of a reaction from me but I still enjoy watching them. But occasionally comes a show that really becomes close to my heart. Over the years, I would say QH, KHKT and PS managed to evoke the most reaction out of me. That’s not to say I don’t love some of the other shows. I love some of them more than these shows. But like you said, when it comes to those there is a healthy distance. I think once I begin writing and actively joining conversations, I know I’m doomed 😆 I become quite attached. Offscreen doesn’t really bother me but there are certain things I won’t turn a blind eye to. It’s more of a take note and move on. There is so much to learn from other people and their decisions.

@Bold I agree with this. But I also feel there is a certain nuanced touch that is missing. Earlier each scene was carefully crafted and now that effort seems to be missing. However, this happens with every show, even non ITV ones.

I think I have to actively try and not get attached to any more shows haha slowly work up to 100%. It’s fun to indulge in these emotions for a bit but it’s also important to know when to step back and not let it affect you personally. I think I’m at that stage now. I just have to keep this in mind for the future 😆

🤗 Ditto my thoughts.

I stopped enjoying ps after danda kaand..till bhoot kaand it was fabulous..abhi bas I watch it to troll, but I I am not disgusted by it..I can still watch it without ff...disgusted will be when I will keep any expectations from it. I have none.. its my daily entertainment. In between I do love dhara ..dhara gombi..dhara family..Suman and rishita..krish....bas. u c thats why I am not bored coz I like dhara and its centered around dhara 😆plus I have a thing for family dramas with less negative characters..romantic dramas toh aate hi nai😆

I do get attached to a show , bahut shiddat se.., it happens wth me every 2-3 yrs..but mostly they never ongoing ones..reason being , when they turn crappy I hate it..madhubala was one such..it gave me a lot of heartbreak..but surprisingly on rewatching I loved it 😆 So I watch it uptil a point which I like..before character butchering . I know kahan tak dekhna hai isse pehle bakwas shuru ho..

Problem with ps is they failed to give any depth to the characters..they did it earlier..there were good conversations between characters. Haveli u c there were lots of them. Whether or not their actions made sense , we could feel where they are coming from..suddenly everything changed.. inko trp ka danda pada hai. Pagal log.

Love this ❤️ PS still has less negativity compared to other ongoing shows. 😆

@Bold This is something I need to learn 😆 The same thing happened with me and QH season 2. I rewatched it during lockdown and I loved it (I knew where to stop) and I pretended SaHil got their happy ending. It was a great decision esp since I never thought I would get over that heartbreak 😆 Maybe I should rewatch Madhubala again. I really enjoyed the initial episodes. Was never attached to the show but it was a great watch! I love the point that you make! 😊

You should post more. We need more perspectives like yours on this forum! 🤗

Honestly that post comments r quite interesting.

I hope writers see it.

It is out in opem as all the comments r about how toxic and conditional love is of Dhara and Pandyas for Shiva.

Dhara Shiva used to be loved by everyone and now it is like that majority doesn't want their scenes anymore.

Apparently in some countries they didn't telecast the gaumbi hitting shiva scene due to censorship issues. Some places like UK won't show violence at all.

I agree to it I have rarely watched the shows and whatever ITV I have followed have disappointed my by ending soo early so I have stopped getting soo much involved.

I didn't wanted to love Shivi too but I do. But it is not the reason for me wake at morning unlike many fans.

Bcoz I know ITV specially Sitara that it will spoil my comfort ship.

1 thing which every show fans should follow is getting involved with actors personal life. Never get attached to it, in most of the cases u will be hurt and the comments on Social media will look toxic only.

Yeah

Beating scenes of PS is not shown in many countries.

I have heard even that Dhara beating Shiva and Krish weren't telecasted in many places.
