First of all sorry for being late. I was caught up. Hope you all like this part-next one would be the last.

Raavi stood in front of Shiva. It seemed time stopped for both of them. They just kept staring at each other seeing the full weight of hope, fear, insecurities and expectations in each others eye.

Shiva hardened his heart for what is coming. "Paper le aayi sign karke?" His heart hammered waiting for the papers which would stamp the end of their relation.

"Nahi"

And Shiva looked up stunned to speechlessness.

"Mujhe nahi chahiye divorce."

And the words stung Shiva. He was afraid ; afraid to hope; afraid to feel he has a chance when he has none.

"Sab kuch teri marzi se nahi hoga. Nahi rehna mujhe aise rishte mei jahan mere liye kuch na ho," he replied angrily.

He was waiting. Waiting for Raavi to react just as furiously what he meant that there was nothing for him. There is nothing for her in this relation and she should be out of it. And she will be.

"Mujhe pata hai meri marzi se nahi hoga. Mai jaanti hu maine tujhe kuch nahi diya hai. Uss din thapad maarne ke liye sorry. Mujhse galti hogayi. Aur divorce se pehle mujhe bas ek mahina de de. Agar phir bi tujhe laga ki tera mera koi mel nahi- mai yahaan se bahut door chalijaungi tujhe iss jhanjhat se azad karke."

There was defeat in her voice which Shiva hated immediately. He hated that he was the cause of this defeated change in Raavi. He did cross a line that day and he realised it too. But he couldn't say sorry as easily as her- he couldn't say anything as easily as her.

Raavi took his silence as no.

And she folded her hands, "Mujhe maaf karde Shiva. Ek mauka de de. Mai uss sab ke liye bhi maafi mangti hu jo mere dost bole. Mai.."

"Chup. Ek dum chup. Itna kya maafi maafi laga rakha hai pehle toh nahi mangti thi"

"Pehle ki galtiyaa phir se nahi dohraungi. Please Shiva ek mauka."

And there was no puppy eyes no nautanki just plain desperation. And it broke Shiva's heart. What happened to his Raavi? This girl is not her. And he couldn't refuse her something when she feels so broken.

"Aaja. Tera samaan mai le aaun?"

She tearfully smiled and said that she would bring it. There was no over excited smile or hug or anything. She did not even ask him to bring her luggage. Raavi..this is why I don't deserve you. What have I converted you into?

As he stepped inside his home, he wondered about her words. Her tone had sucked everything out of him. He can't bear to see her defeated and hopeless but now her words registered in his mind. She asked him a month to prove they were compatible. Does this mean she wants this relation as something more than a compromise?

No Shiva. No hopes. Plus you have already made her into something she never was- no energy at all. It would be better for her to be away from him.

He entered the kitchen to drink water. And he heard a commotion outside. Somebody must be humiliating Dhara again.

But no. It was his own mother stopping Raavi from entering.

Suman Pandya blocked Raavi's entry. There was no way she was going to let this girl enter after she slapped her husband in front of all. People will be talking about them because of this girl.

"Kyun teri self respect ka kya hua? Aagayi wapas? Par yeh ghar aur tera nahi hai. Nahi aa sakti tu. Prafulla ke sanskaar dikh rahe hai tujhme saaf saaf"

Shiva saw the entire family try to stop Suman except Raavi herself. She just stood at the door listening to everything. And finally as her mother completed her tirade

"Mujhe maaf kardijiye Kaki. Bahut badi galti hogayi aainda nahi hogi. Haat jod ke mangti hu."

Before she could fold her hands, Rishita stopped her saying she shouldn't do this. Whatever Shiva said had hurt too. Raavi replied that being hurt gave her no right to hurt him in return.

Again that defeat. He saw his mother starting to say something and he knew it would be in his favour but right now Raavi did not need to hear that.

He went to her clasped her hands in his and held her bag in the other. Before anyone could say a word, both of them were in their room. He turned around to see Raavi looking their clasped hands in wonder. And then she looked at him with so much hope that Shiva couldn't take his hand away. They stood together in silence- one thinking that she would save this bond at any cost while another thought how this bond was the reason Raavi broke.

As the days passed Shiva noticed that his mother's taunts to Raavi kept increasing but there was no reply from Raavi. Rishita kept asking Raavi to stand up for herself but Raavi didn't hear. Even to Dhara, Raavi answered in monosyllables.

She did not talk to Dev. She talked to Gaumbi only if he wanted tea or coffee- he missed seeing her chatting away happily to Gaumbi. He missed seeing her bantering with Krish. He missed Krish and Raavi teaming up to tease him. He could see Krish missed it too and Krish was bewildered at this Raavi. Krish had tried to tease him about a shirt; about some childhood memory half forgotten but nothing brought back the Raavi they knew.

The only person in the house Raavi interacted was him. He honestly did not know how to manage this Raavi. He knew a fiery passionate Raavi not this one. This Raavi kept his clothes ironed; washed them on her own. He had once spoiled his clothes deliberately to make her react harshly but no nothing- she silently took the clothes and washed again. She made his favorite food, came to the store to give him food, made sure he was eating and drinking well.

She smiled at him like he was someone precious but this wasn't the smile Shiva had fallen for. No it just wasn't. Raavi, where are you?

One week in- she decided she wanted to go to the store. Gaumbi told Shiva to take her. Shiva obeyed. He secretly thought that it would be good opportunity to bring Raavi back.

"Jaa baith jaa. Saunf aur jeera ki adla badli kardena"

"Mai nahi bethungi sethani ki tarah. Tu mujhe jo sikhayega mai woh karungi. Mai kuch nahi jaanti uss hisaab se sikha"

He saw sincerity in her. He could see she was serious. And he was too. He taught her everything about the shop and its management. He was extra strict with her. Sometimes he found faults in bear perfect work as well to rile her up but she just smiled.

Shiva gave her angry retorts- anything to bring the Raavi he knew back. Nothing worked. She smiled benignly and kept up her efforts.

Day 25- Shiva heard Dhara and Suman talking that Raavi was behaving like an ideal wife should. This time everything would be alright. Their Shiva was khara sona and deserved the best.

This fuelled Shiva's temper- Did they even see Raavi? Does the only thing that matter is that the marriage should be saved even while the two people involved are destroyed?

But he didn't speak anything then. He had to free Raavi.

Day 29- Shiva came home. Raavi brought him a glass of water. He threw it away. He stood up menacingly . What did she think she was doing? Trying to show how mahaan she is? That she is accepting this marriage with the gawar? That despite how wild Shiva is, she still behaves in the best manner. That she is Shiva's wife who Shiva doesn't deserve.

And he went on. He saw each word pierce Raavi. He saw it breaking her all over again. He wanted to stop but it was more important to get her to react and then free her from this mess. She doesn't deserve these complications.

Finally Raavi did react. "Baas. Mai samaj gayi. Aur do din jhel le phir nahi aaungi samne kabhi."

And with that she ran to the room and latched it. She fell down holding her knees crying heartbreakingly against the door. In her blurred vision she had not put the latch in position and Rishita entered.

Rishita hugged Raavi and let her cry. After a while she made her sit on the bed. What is it Raavi? What were you trying to do since a month?

I was trying to fit in again. I wanted this relationship to work. I like Shiva. I want him as my husband. I want to spend my life with him.

Maine sab kuch karke dekh liya Rishita bilkul waise bani jaise Shiva ko pasand aayega. Bahut koshish ki koi shikayat ka mauka naa doo. Par nahi kar paayi. Mai kuch bhi kar lu mai woh nahi ban sakti jo Shiva ko apni biwi mein chahiye. Haar gayi mai Rishita. Par mai apne khushi ke liye Shiva ko dard nahi de sakti. Mai azad karungi usse. Woh aage badh jaye aur khush rahe. Mai toh ab yahi atki rahungi humesha par akeli rahungi aur yahaan se bahut door.

She wasn't crying anymore. She spoke all of it in a weary mechanical manner. She was tired. And she was determined that Shiva deserved his happiness. If he achieves it away from her; so be it.Rishita herself was teary eyed listening to her. Is this what love makes us? Where we tie our everything to another person? Where our smiles depend on him more than our own selves?

"Raavi," said Shiva in his deep voice standing at the door.

I think my heart just broke🥺

Gosh!! I loved it so much.Finally!! Shiva got to knew it's not only him who could have insecurities other people too have, difference is just that in their insecurities they don't keep on hurting others like him.Ravi has been broken to her bits why because she keep on begging for belongingness n love despite of being hurted numerous time sometime in their room, sometime in front of family n nail to coffin was in front of society too.Humilaition was at it's extreme level but it was she who had to fit in,who had to change herself,who had to keep silent or she is not good wife.suman n dhara kya kehne ,for them now everything is good n turn blind eye to lifeless soul in front of them .
