Or, they make other girl realise it is impossible to come between madly in love couple. I so wish this track..

I would like this track. The new girl tries, but Dev isn't interested in her, instead falling deeper in love with Sona. That will be a good track and refreshing on ITV. Infidelity of the ML is so done and not interested in that at all.

I would love to see Sona getting involved with someone as Dev not listening, Ishvari demanding so much from her to fix her laadla Dev, 3 kids (2 swapped at the birth, Apney VS Paraye) she also can’t take it. Needed to feel heard, understood, comforted emotionally, mentally & physically 😉😳😂 after all woh bhi to same mitti ki bani hai na 😛. She is human with so many needs

why alway men get so much positive attention? I can wish same for Sona right 😋

If she has to get involved with anyone, it will be with Jatin, someone who has known and supported her throughout.

I wasn’t actually planning on saying anything about the current season, but today I couldn’t stop myself after the blatant attempt to whitewash the ma-beta manipulation/emotional abuse by guilt-tripping an already vulnerable woman/wife/mother. So I might as well get my frustrations out and be done with it. So there goes my rant…

Firstly, I get that the writers have changed for this season, but to this extent that they couldn’t care to even know the basic storyline??? Seriously it was annoying and hilarious to hear ishwari claiming that she had suffered a lot in her life before and with dev’s arrival into her life all her happiness returned. Are these writers really that dumb or just plain lazy to even know the backstory. The writers should know dev is the eldest son of ishwari, after which she had 3 healthy daughters. That means her husband was still alive until then, who was the head of the family and took care of the family. Also dev wasn’t a long lost son like ayush, who entered her life one fine day with the price money of a lottery ticket to get her out of her impoverished life. It was dev’s education and talent that resulted in their current lifestyle which happened gradually over the years.

Secondly, this show is setting an example as to what happens when you try to milk the cow too much. The show makers, channel and the actors seem to have overestimated themselves and underestimated the audience, believing they can piggyback on the show’s past success. Unfortunately the same seems to have backfired big time for them. This show (both s1 and s2) despite its shortcomings was still a beautiful show for its brilliant acting and the flawed yet relatable storyline. This s3 is seriously a debacle. Right from the first week the story has been all over the place; be it the legitimacy of ayush being the real son with the still unclear dna status; the drastic change in characters from what was supposed to have been their redemptions in previous seasons; or the confused situation as to why the once-so-in-love couple have drifted so far apart.

If there has been any consistency in this show, it has been the favoritism the makers and writers have towards the ishwari/dev characters. I don’t know if it’s the characters they favor or the actors, because the whitewashing of these 2 characters without any proper redemption or apology from them has been another consistent thing in this show.

Lastly, if the writers don’t have the guts to accept that their characters are flawed or at least accept the shortcomings of their own created characters, why even show them doing all the things they do? You portray them as selfish/manipulative/emotionally abusive characters with blatant disregard for other’s feelings, but still force the audience to think they are just being misconstrued. In the end, the fl becomes the scapegoat for this, who is supposed to be viewed as nothing but a selfish woman to have any kind of self respect or have the audacity to fight or even beg for some kind of recognition in her own life.

As someone mentioned here, this show was never a progressive show as a lot of people were made to believe. This was nothing but just a slightly realistic version of how even a loving/educated/successful married girl with self-respect and wishes can become a victim against the vicious circle of expectations and responsibility towards her husband and in-laws in life…

Now in spite of being thyag murthi, ppl are bashing her like anything n if they show that, bacha kucha sona fans too will hate her n cannot imagine abt amt bashing😆

But it would b interesting to see, if not finding bf, she is trying to take break from this and travel alone somewhere to breath some fresh air. During my mother time, she used to go nani house n my father used to manage us. Since i dont hv that option, i used to tell my husband take children n go somewhere and i want sit alone myself for some hours. And he used to take them out. 😆. We woman too need break from husband children n work.

Sometimes you need to put yourself to first. Then rest of the ppl will follow you. I think dixits will understand if sona does same drama. She shd simply say, she cannot handle so many things n simply back out from some responsibilities. Then they might think, they need to help or take responsibility as she cannot do. Here anyway after doing everything she is getting to hear, why not back out n see, how it works. If it is not working, she is definitely there to manage but allow others to do it n realise what difficulties she is going through.

Welcome! 😃😃 We have all been complaining about these things since the show started.

Far be it for me to defend the writers, as people on this forum are aware how much I have complained about the writing. But I do want to mention a couple things about the Bold parts.

The Dixits were struggling for money after Dev's father died. But even before his death, they weren't well off. Remember the scene when he says he distributed sugar when Nikki was born and everyone had to have sugarless tea for the next few days? I guess, things worsened after the father died.

As for Ishwari saying about Dev's birth, she has always maintained that the moment he was born, all her dreams and aspirations were fulfilled and it was her happiest moment. So it matches that. For Ishwari, Dev was her everything. Right from the start, Dev was everything. It only added to her obsession when he was the brightest, got a proper education and was able to pull them put of their poverty.

I agree that the story is mainly about Dev and Ishwari. They are the main ones in focus. Even in S1 it had been the case.

Hi, thank you for the welcome😀

See that’s the blooper for me. I get the bolded part which you mentioned and that’s exactly why I felt the way I did. The dixits weren’t rich or anything even before her husband’s death, they were just living by. Yet it was her husband who handled everything. Ishwari’s struggles in life started with the death of her husband right or am I missing anything. It wasn’t until after her husband’s death that dev became the ideal/idol son for her. So her saying she had lost a lot before and dev’s entry into her life brought the much needed light at the end of the tunnel sounded like a writer’s blooper to me.

Far be it from me to criticize a mother’s struggles in life even for a fictional character, but why go to so much trouble to idealize one mother character so much at the cost of another young mother whose emotions are trivialized.

oftentimes what annoys me the most is what they are trying to justify, that a person with an impoverished background always ends up with emotional baggage or bitter. I agree it leaves a permanent scar but still a scar that doesn’t have to be scratched at or made a spectacle of every time. Just because ishwari/dev had an impoverished background doesn’t mean they have suffered the worst life or gives them the right to undermine other’s sufferings. By that standards I would say neha was the one who suffered the most. A lot of people even without a lot of money do still live happily. Instead show how the same made them a better person at understanding other’s pain. Alas I’m sure I will never get that from this ma-beta combo.
