"Many are complaining about romantic scenes. There r itv couple who don't get romantic scenes at all.Other fd people appreciate our show makers for giving us romantic scenes but here our fd doesn't like it.They say whn we lose things we understand it's value"- Copied from Twitter

What we are getting now in Raghvi romantic scenes is pure aesthetic goals. Someone who uses pinterest might understand that all raghvi intimate scenes are so pin worthy and freaky adorable

I guess people only understand the language of comparison. So take any example of any itv show either from star plus , colours , zee any.Have any itv male lead did the proposal like raghav did by laying in pallavi lap and put the ring on. Pallavi didn't shy away from giving him a forehead kiss in that intimate position. That scene Could be easily passed as kissing scene if someone doesn't pay attention to details.

Yesterday and today episode hug was another gush worthy moment. Pallavi isn't the type of lead who would hide her face in her husband neck when he was trying to be cosy or didn't struggle to get out of his tight hold. She is meeting Raghav carnal desires with heads on. Its rare to get a couple especially on itv who are so open about the physical longing too.

Makers are trying every possible way to show how a couple in love behaves

If you like it, I'm happy for you all, but honestly, reading this reminded me of a Marathi daily drama that I enjoyed immensely, which didn't need any touching to convey the lead couple's love.

That show was Nanda Saukhya Bhare, and the leads, Swanandi and Indraneel, communicated everything with their eyes, smiles, and laughter. Most of their scenes together were in the presence of family elders or teenage cousins, and from about the midpoint of the series until almost the end, they didn't even have a bedroom; they slept on the living room floor next to his elder brother and sister-in-law. Nevertheless, it was obvious that they were deeply in love. Indraneel's face would light up at the sight of Swanandi, and when she responded to his rather innocent flirtatious remarks with "Gappa basā!" he would shout, "Gappa basā!" to let her know what he imagined her saying instead. I think the entire series is on YouTube if anyone wants to see what I mean.

I would rather see Raghav and Pallavi in the midst of supporting characters and subplots, not forced to meet a quota of romantic scenes per episode.

I have the gut feeling that many are from IMMj2 fandom and this particular show had plenty of romance, showers and even a bath tub scene.

Colors are very generous and do not censor and so does Sony.

They have never blurred the scenes. It depends on the type of story and actors consent.

Yes, Star and Sikku is accomodating a lot of fan requests. The actors are very cooperative with respect to facial pecks and Jaffar pays a lot of attention to minute details. It does not look Vulgar at all.

I am content with what is given. My only issue that essence of characters have to be retained and the plot should not go haywire.

See the marathi show which you have been talking about , I haven't seen that. Every show has different plot and concept. If mehendi follows the same romance concept of your marathi show , then where would be the difference

I have seen mehendi from day 1 and I can 100% say that pallavi and raghav had sexual tension from their first meeting itself. It's not bad if you have physical desires for someone especially if that someone is your spouse. Let's get to real life. The thing makers are showing in the serial that is back hugging , nuzzling , lying on lap , caressing each other. Couples do that in real life too. The only difference is that they have added an extra element of hide and seek romance.

Physical intimacy has always been a part of our rich culture. We have temples carved with statues depicting the ultimate union of man and woman , shiva and shakti.

At the end of day , we are here for seeing a passionate love story which include all the elements not only the righteous behaviour

Even that snuggle after Marathi dinner. The way Raghav pats Pallavi.

In my opinion, Raghvi also have such a deep love story. Raghav's face also lights up when he sees Pallavi and she also conveys her love for him similarly.

I would not mind Raghvi not even having a hug because what draws me to them is their understanding of each other more than their physical intimacy. But that is just me!!

Raghvi romance is more like an added bonus or cherry on the cake so why should they not show it. Raghvi are a much in love couple and desire each other more than just emotionally. Physically wanting each other and showing it is but natural.

You may be right about the timing and showing it kind of disjointed in the screenplay but I can let that slide because of how on an overall basis this show clicks

@sunaina, you've written so well. This topic is spot on. We need to appreciate the show overall rather than point of smaller aspects. The makers are doing everything they can to entertain us in these difficult times and the least we can do is let go off smaller issues in storytelling, performance or execution.

So Respect what we have got

Completely agree👍🏼

But unfortunately humans are greedy

They always crave for more

It’s actually easy for all of us to sit here and crib and complain that this isn’t right and that isn’t right

But if we are asked to be in their shoes and do stuffs

I don’t think anyone would be able to deliver the same or even better results.

Because the pressure they work in is something which deserves complete respect and I think we as humans could be empathetic and cut them sone slack

PS: thank you Sunaina for this post 👏
