Just because he hit her friends? The same friends who had spewed non sense regarding him right before her. She din defend him and when he did after his control snapped, she didn’t want to hear him and instead rained down her frustrations on him. So wasn’t he her punching bag then?

See..let's look just after sneha kaandh..

Ravi apologised right after shiva was in a position to talk with her..he pushed her away.. this kept on for days..her putting her hand on his shoulder..and telling they can atleast try with friendship.....then later saying their colors will spread on each other eventually..all meant she never thought of him as inferior to her....she kept on with her compromising jaap..and I can't equal that to calling out names on him or thinking of herself as superior ..she believes compromising with a person she never imagined to marry. And she wanted shiva to compromise with her too.. there was nothing to taunt him there. Still shiva was rude with her ..she never said anything anything abt junglee gawar nothing until the mandir kaandh where she lost her patience .I dnt blame or say shiva is worse than ravi..no..because deep down he had a purpose in his rudeness.. he wasn't rude becz he hated her, he was indirectly pushing her away frm his feelings for her..he was feeling attached to her and to stop his developing feelings, he pushed her away with all his might..

Both shiva and ravi were pushing each other a lot in these past days..one trying to push her out of his feelings..one trying to push him back to being comfortable with her.. this was bound to break.. it won't work like that.. mandir scene they both lost their patience..shiva gave his extreme..ravi too gave equal venom back..both of them hurt each other that day..

But aaj, it wasn't really about Shiva's character insults. Yes, she had that thought right before signing the papers. But him hating her was the deal breaker. 😒 Same way, Shiva isn't remembering her calling him those names. Its about ghut ghut kar jeena because he's not her choice.

Imo, the overarching theme is they both think the other person hates them and wants freedom... That's their actual misunderstanding which everyone is overlooking 🤔

I really wish all of this had happened right after diary sequence. At least it wouldn't have been this bad of a khichdi 🤔

In the beginning of their marriage her MU made her lash at him with those insults but it didn't effect him and he gave as good as he got. In the temple scene she didn't hear the stuff those guys said about her so she mu shivas anger and it wasn't like he was all sunshine and roses to her the past few days either. The accidental push just made her snap and then the verbal hits kept on coming from her. They both became each others punching bags then but compared to the past few weeks raavi had stopped calling shiva anything while he kept on attacking her due to how own mu. But shiva then crossed the line when he implied the gentleman guy thing. Shiva instead of hitting her burned the bike instead lol they both lost control and shiva keeps on triggering her with that insult like in the park where dhara brought them too.

The non TRP version aka the OG version is that Shiva just stoically withdraws and becomes emotionally unavailable.

If course Raavi in the OG cared equally that both parties in the marriage should be happy. So she got affected and tried to bridge the gap(and no, she was not yet in love with Shiva there)

Here Raavi would not even bother. As long as she got to live with the family, she would have happily bounced about whether Shiva was responsive or not. 😐

Honestly, why mess with good characters- the OG had two strong protagonists who had good integrity. They(Kathir and Mullai) would stand for and fight for what they believed in. There was not even a whiff of divorce in the OG

Why did they have to twist the characters so much? Do the TRP audience really not accept realistic wholesome characters? Even if the story is compelling? I find it very hard to believe and understand.

This whole "I'll push her away because she deserves someone better" has been done to death in Kekta serials. Wouldn't the TRP audience like some change 😕

Other than TRP I cannot fathom why writers would even need to disfigure these characters- they could have just copy pasted the characters 😐

@bold..Exactly...this was very evident in the ya rabba sequence after their separation..shiva told himself as much as he tried to understand ravi, the distance between them increased..ie.. it became evident like he got no space in her heart ..

And ravi said she never understood shiva..when she wanted shiva to compromise with their marrg, she believed shiva did like her enough to live together atleast like friends...but after mandir she believed she was wrong in understanding him. He hated her all the time..
