Yeah, it was hilarious. Even Harry's accidental magic was sassy. 😆

I loved how the book (within the first 5 chapters) established the friendship between Hagrid and Harry, I realise now that it was kinda rushed in the movie. Hagrid depends upon Harry to count muggle money, teaches him wizard money. Hagrid also makes Harry his confidant, he trusts Harry will not tell anyone that Hagrid performed magic to speed things up, when they were traveling by boat, and Hagrid was not supposed to perform magic. He confides lots of things in Harry that no other adult would tell him, answers his questions (which never happened at the Dursleys). Their friendship becomes so sweet within so less time. No wonder Harry was offended by Draco's comment about Hagrid. Nobody at Dursleys were so kind with Harry like Hagrid was with him.

About books vs movies, I think I already shared what I think. At this point, for me, spotting extra scenes in the book is like finding a treasure trove of surprises. 😍

Also, I feel, it is not fair to compare movies with books as movies have a time limit in which they have to cover everything.

I think its too early to rank, since I am halfway through it.. But if you ask me, I will rank on basis of my favorite scenes in the book. I don't have any favorites characters yet as I am still assessing them 😆 (apparently I am a Ravenclaw 😳). I loved Prisoner of Azkaban, how it ended especially. The way Buckbeak and Sirius escape, and despite the fact that the year was a bit uneventful than the last two years (because Voldemort did not try to kill Harry), he learnt so many things that year, including the Patronus Charm..one of the most important charms. I loved the moment when Harry realizes that it he who saved Sirius and him from the dementors, and not his father. The book inspires one to look beyond a conventional heroic happy ending, and I loved it about Book 3.

I loved the second half of Book 4, all the scenes when Voldemort rises but fails to kill Harry. The scenes were very sad and painful, but the way Harry overcomes the circumstances is very inspiring. I loved the way JK Rowling wrote these chapters.

@Bold: Hopefully after completing the series and discussing with us, you'd have your favourite list finally 😆😆

Well, I am not a new reader but I want to rank my favourites:

Snape(Always a Snapehead😳)

Dumbledore(He looked so positive (kinda godly)and a know it all kind in the first set of books, but in the final books I loved to read about his flaws and mistakes

Sirius( I had liked the way he was protective about Harry)

Hermione( probably in our childhood we all wish to become like Hermione, a perfect student over anything else😆)

Ron( I actually liked Ron as an individual, his friendship and loyalty towards Harry and his relationship dynamics with Hermione was worth rooting for)

Harry( I don't have much fascination for Harry as a character, but still he has sacrificed enough in the fight with Voldemort)

Last but not the least Tom Riddle Lord Voldemort (For being the most twisted, dark and complex man in Harry Potter universe)

I like Snape as a character for the love he had for Lily and how he had protected Harry silently though being rude to him most of the times as he reminds him of James. But all these can never justify his extremely rude behaviour towards Neville and Hermione (in PoA, one of my favourite scenes where he had plainly insulted her in front of the whole class and Ron had the guts to answer him back). Also his plain favoritism towards Slytherins & Draco is one thing which I always hate about him.

And R/Hr (Ron & Hermione) are always my top favourites as both individuals & a pair in the whole series and without them, I don't think I would have enjoyed HP series in the same way I had felt with them. And Sirius, he is my another favourite character in the whole series.

Vernon was scared of the wizards, and wanted to live in denial as much as he could.

1. They bought Dudley & his friends a pricey icecream while for Harry all he got was a cheap icecream.

2. Their own son going to a good high school while Harry was being prepared to go to a local school.

3. Even they don't buy him new school uniforms.
