I often wonder how Dudley had faced his friends after Harry went to Hogwarts and knowing that he's "special".

@Bold: Tiara, you know I hate the movies for many reasons and one of them is how the makers have ruined Ron-Hermione's relationship in the movies, their relationship is my most favorite in the books, how they have ruined the character of Ron & how they've ruined the friendship between Harry & Ron. Even Harry and Hermione's characters were not the same in movies as written by JKR.

Yes, Ron's character seems smarter in books than in the movies. It seems a lot of his lines were given to Hermione in the movies. About Ron-Hermione, Ron-Harry and Harry- Hermione, since I am still exploring the books I can't comment much, I am at book 5. It seems book Hermione almost mothers over Harry, the way she worries about him, and warns him. I am yet to read how the friendships matured in the late teenage.

Hey Tiara, one of the very few things I ask the new members, rank your favourite characters based solely on books as far as you've completed reading for the first time!

Oh yeah, you've said that you're at OoTP beginning, right? Yeah we'll discuss all over from beginning now, that's the main reason for starting re-reading HP again!

Did Dudley think Harry is 'special'? His parents feared magic and wizards, so Dudley probably thought Harry was a wierdo. Maybe the reason behind Dudley never stopped bullying Harry, because he feared Harry. That if Dudley 'showed him his place', Harry would fear him instead.

About facing his friends, Dudley probably bragged how his cousin was a dangerous criminal boy, who deserved no kindness, to hide his insecurity after knowing that he possessed no magic.

What are your thoughts?

It's not mentioned yet in the book, but I remember that they had made up a story of Harry going to St. Brutus's Sucure Centre for Incurably Criminal Boys.

I think its too early to rank, since I am halfway through it.. But if you ask me, I will rank on basis of my favorite scenes in the book. I don't have any favorites characters yet as I am still assessing them 😆 (apparently I am a Ravenclaw 😳). I loved Prisoner of Azkaban, how it ended especially. The way Buckbeak and Sirius escape, and despite the fact that the year was a bit uneventful than the last two years (because Voldemort did not try to kill Harry), he learnt so many things that year, including the Patronus Charm..one of the most important charms. I loved the moment when Harry realizes that it he who saved Sirius and him from the dementors, and not his father. The book inspires one to look beyond a conventional heroic happy ending, and I loved it about Book 3.

I loved the second half of Book 4, all the scenes when Voldemort rises but fails to kill Harry. The scenes were very sad and painful, but the way Harry overcomes the circumstances is very inspiring. I loved the way JK Rowling wrote these chapters.
