I beg to differ. He , in his bhabhi bhakti said yes for marriage..dev was about to do the same thing which Shiva did , but we blame dev , not dhara ....no matter who forced, he could have said no and when he said yes , it was his choice his decision and accountability was also fixed.... If he could think through, the pros and cons , like he is doing now , he would be in a much better place . In the heat of the moment , and in emotions he took a decision which proved wrong for him and raavi. Probably not in the long run bec it's a tv serial so they will eventually fall in love ..girls are always easily emotionally manipulated but he could have put his foot down and refused..like he refused dhara now..ultimately hona yahi tha, late hua..in this process a lot has changed. A divorcee tag with lose character is worse than "a girl left at the altar".

Bhabhi ke liye shadi ki toh bhabhi ke liye shadi nibhayi toh nai gayi. Kyunki pyar ho gaya. He is in emotional mess but Suman will find another girl for him ..raavi suffered more and she will continue to suffer in future.

this i agree with. Everyone expected them to act like real husband wife from day 1 , forgetting under what circumstances they married . probably thy expected a lot from their raja beta ..

Anyhow..it was a double whammy for raavi...she not only lost her love but she was married to a person who hated her from the core of his heart. That's why everyone sympathized more with her .

I thought they might show labor and delivery at home itself in this day age. But Pandya land is very much capable of that because the entire family is allergic to Doctors. We saw them, they won’t even go to the Doctors when the roof came crashing on them during Mukteshwar Khandar kaand

Sorry..i believe it's very generic. Every man/ woman goes through this process at some point of their lives , sooner or later .

His choice wasn't taken away, he gave that right to dhara willingly.. ..so I won't call that a sacrifice either. .he is dumb enuf to let dhara control his life...everything that dhara says can't be right. He learnt it the hard way.

I agree with the 4th point..he was treated as a commodity . So was raavi. But like mami I won't blame dhara..raavi and shiva could have said no. When they said yes, they are accountable for what happened between them.

That place was far away from hospital so and all walked out bruised and battered but okay lol

Anyway them shooting scenes with doctor so early signs towards issues for sure lol

10 yrs of pills and lot of stress around Dhara’s life bound to have complications but don’t want them to show any miscarriage, they will lose sane audience. All that drama, several oil kaands by Anita, mannat is all for nothing and more misery for Dhara? No woman deserves to go through that.

The concept of "sacrifice" is such a gendered issue, and for once, I have to say the CVs are doing something unique through ShiVi's separation track. Everyone in the Pandya family has stood by Raavi's side, acknowledging the sacrifices she's made while being in the relationship... Even now, they are berating Shiva to apologize so Raavi wouldn't have to make another sacrifice in the relationship. While no one seems to recognize the sacrifices Shiva has made when he accepted to marry Raavi... and perhaps that's why no one recognizes the pain that Shiva is going through by being in an unloving marriage.

Because to the family, as a guy, he hasn't made the sacrifice that Raavi has made as a woman. I know there were so many other issues regarding the ShiVi track, but I can't help but think no one recognizes Shiva's pain because it is not "socially acceptable" for a man to cry and express his emotions (with the exception of anger)

You said it so well! This is heartbreakingly true and further emphasize the so called "divide" between men and women in the society

Men are only "allowed" or expected to show anger, and women are supposed to behave like becharis, do most of the heavy lifting to make relationships work, and express pain, tears and sadness when they fail, no matter what kind of relationship or might have been 😕💔

I will be honest.i have always had a soft corner for raavi.her pre wedding scenes, her innocence while writing her diary and dreaming about dev, her happiness when finally her marriage got fixed with Dev, her excitement when she was getting ready as a bride, her crushed dreams and hopes when Dev removes her hands from his.💔

As much as I acknowledge raavi's pain, Shiva's pain can't be ignored.the only difference is raavi's pain was acknowledged by both the families, her cries were heard, she was symphatized with.but what about shiva? He suppressed his whirlpool of emotions under a stoic exterior.he was expected to be the saviour, he was expected to provide raavi with warmth, comfort and love, he was expected to apologise and understand.why?this reminds me of dhara's dlg after the wedding

Not few words of comfort

Not one look of pride

Not a single effort to understand him

I don't know what the intentions of the makers are. They are trying to make us feel for shiva, maybe.they are trying to highlight his pain.but in the process they are making us hate the whole family.

if u think abt it..dhara does support and respect shiva for his nature..actually after the mandir kaandh..when raavi gets back home and starts crying..I was angry with dhara to support shiva blindly..she was angry with ravi for talking harsh with shiva..bole ja rahi hein bole ja rahi hein..aisa kya kardiya mere shiva ne...I was angry with her that how can she speak like that without knowing the whole truth..now after reading ur post..maybe this is why..maybe she ,who is the biggest receiver and the biggest witness of shivas selflessness, knows deep within what shiva is..and can't accept anything wrong about him..so did suman....but what happened after they came to knw abt the complete story is another thing...

Another time was during kangan kaandh..I never understood how the makers justified shivas action. And dhara kept on chanting woh shiva hein..kabhi galati nahi kar sakta.. still I dnt understand shivas action. 😆..but maybe now I understand why dhara keeps saying tht..she is obliged to be by his side after knowing that he has always been a giver..

PS.. I knw..I am conveniently omitting danda kaandh..emotional blackmail kaandh...😆..but atleast we can say makers tried to show something.🤪😆
