How are you comparing what Shahrukh did in the first few years of his career with what Deepu is doing after almost 15 years of her first movie which was with the biggest superstar of that time and was a blockbuster while SRK debuted in a supporting role with Rishi Kapoor and Divya Bharti..........Deepu is now an A lister and has been #1 for a few years and is an established actress having worked with some of the biggest actors and directors and blockbuster movies....Don't get me wrong....I have no problem with her fee hike and doing left overs....but to compare her with SRK is absolutely ridiculous.....SRK took a risk and it paid off...

I am not.. Deepika did most of the movies rejected by contemporaries when she was coming fresh from flops

I meant when actors are struggling, they don't think about which movie has been rejected by which actor for what reason.. they just go for whatever they think will be good for their career because they want to establish

once established, they decide their path

LOL @ the members who are thinking she lost her senses.

If she is asking SLB 25 crores, that means she must be getting other offers worth that amount or even more than that.

I'll give you an example. I am about to quit my firm and giving interviews with various other companies. One of the offers I received is for 45 lakhs per annum. Google made me an offer for 36 lakhs and I said no. Pay me at least 40 lakhs, because others are ready to pay me 45-50. I still reduced my ask by 5-10 lakhs, because of the Google brand. But if you are still going to underpay me, then sorry I ain't interested. It's your loss.

So Deepika's decision makes perfect business sense. Also, the last two SLB movies didn't serve Deepika well. She only got flak for them. Might as well work with better directors then.

I don't have a problem with her making it a strategy but what I find laughable is her adverstising it as if now it was her fight when it was a tool she used to get ahead of others.

Lol it's on her own interest to ensure her husband becomes a big star. That way they can establish themselves as a power couple; and no one is saying that she lost out by breaking up with Ranbir Kapoor or Malya ; also I'm not sure what she has in store for the future but it sure is easier to make a successful comeback when your husband is part of the industry than when he's not.

Also, for actresses, movies are their work and ensure their visibility but most often than not they manage to earn because of the endorsements.

Anyways I'm not even sure she's finalized for the movie. This is just so people will talk about her imo.

And so she should as a top actress. Still half of what top male superstars demand so nothing unreasonable here.

the biggest flop actor in Bollywood earn more than the top actress. You want to make people believe it is an audience draw issue when it is absolutely NOT.

When RK was going from flop to flop he was still paid 40CR per movie 40. Nobody then questioned how he can command such astronomical fees to work on movie like Tamasha. Akshay Kumar charge half of movie budget when his films struggle to even get hit status because his fees shot the budget high. We are talking 80cr-100cr. It’s only problem if an actress ask even 5% of it that’s when everyone start asking “what’s your pull? What’s your last opening? What’s your lifetime?”

Deepika believes she is worth this and she is selling herself as such. It can be delusional, it can be insanity but if you go to a supermarket there are multiple choices and if the price of one does not suit you then move on to the next. Whoever is interested in paying her will pay.

Srk debuted in the title role in & as Deewana. What are you smoking? How is it supporting? He got the best song of the movie. So relax darling.
