I m trying to make one IshqAan × SoRaj edit as their journey but I realized if I went the storytelling way - it would get too long. So I am trying something else now. Liking it in pieces not as a whole tho

Karwachauth thing should have done correctly no doubt, but it is not only about one festival in this case.It is like giving a Punjabi name to and showing them to be Marathi.(just as an example)

Moreover when the main theme is about acceptance of the NE, problems faced by them, this should have been taken care of.

I still remember one dialogue years back in TMKOC which hurt me real bad.

They just can't vanish a part of the map altogether.

And when it happens repeatedly, people are bound to be offended.

I don't think any tv show for that matter shows any community in the right light.

Also, with all due respect, I think Assamese people get offended very easily. (I'm not pin pointing you or anyone, and I totally get why you feel this way... and its justified to an extent as Assamese people are not that much represented on mainstream TV and movies). I have lived in Assam for 3 years and it was not a good experience at all. I was constantly harassed for being a Punjabi, people called me names in their language and would glare at me. (Not all Assamese, but ya.. most of them). As a young child I could not fathom the reason for their hatred, one guy once told me he hated North Indians because we stereotype them.. , like really?

Rather than rest of the country not accepting I wonder if they don't accept themselves or want others to think differently of them? There were lots of Assamese in lajpat nagar studying in DU but they just never mixed. My roommate was a North Indian who grew up in Assam so knew the language, most of her friends were Assamese. They would come over and would only speak in Assamese making sure I never felt included.. they liked sticking in their cliques. Whenever they complained, my roommate would always point out that if they continue to act that way.. they can't expect anything different.
