I never understand the need to wish a family member on social media, unless she's just seeking attention again.
You live in the same house- how about wishing him face to face? Lol.
This is one of my pet peeves. People staying in the same house wishing each other on social media is absolutely ridiculous. IMO, it’s just another opportunity to extol the virtues of the person you’re wishing, and I see this particularly in parents wishing their kids. ‘ Happy birthday to the most intelligent, sassy, spunky, never short of words, always curious, always questioning, keeps us on our toes, stumps us with his clever questions, makes us super proud by his many achievements blah blah blah..’ These are the kind of birthday posts I see of my friends and cousins wishing their kids.
Just wish the child at home and throw him a party, why don’t you?
Why must all your contacts know how amazing the child is ? That’s an opinion that they can form for themselves on meeting the child. So it’s definitely about validation, because the responses to such posts are filled with extravagant praise for the child in question. And that’s what the parent wants.
