Shanta, you have the answer as to why the prayers are not being answered in BT world. God is plain fed up with these silly prayers for solutions which as you rightly pointed out lies in the hands of the characters themselves. So at the end of the day BT is doing God a service by showing that God does not help those who can help themselves. He only steps in when things get out of hand.
See, he stepped in and saved the life of a guy who had fallen from a height of 500 feet into a river less than 5 feet deep. He saved the guy from being rammed in by two dozen iron rods. But then just because he did all this he cannot be also be reduced to becoming a mouth piece and reveal all the deep dark secrets of the dumb characters in the show which they can well do considering that each of them have a perfectly good tongue to speak. This is the message that BT is giving!
And here we are blaming them for being insensitive to God rather than thanking them for sparing God from unnecessary headaches so that he can concentrate all his energies on people who really require his help!
