Anokhi was different and more like the type of FL I like. The type of woman who knows what she wants and where she want to be, and working towards it.

Anokhi is us. We are Anokhi.

Today's woman who knows her own worth 🙂

I am saying this bcz I have been asked to be more sensitive about somethings, just bcz I didn't react to situations the way they expected me to react.

Same here, I identify with Anokhi. I have been called bossy also because I cannot stand male chauvinists and have been known to call out when things are wrong. Wish I have the politeness of Anokhi when she tells people off, then it would be perfect 😃

Same to same bro!

I was always told that I am too dominating, too nasty, too controlled 😂

Yes correct. Anokhi is the only ITV FL whom we can relate to. Most of us at some point of our life would have had some experiences like Anokhi and would have reacted in the same way as she did.

I feel like I’m talking to my people!! I’ve also been termed aggressive, stubborn, insensitive, domineering, etc. I wear it proudly.

It just means we know our worth and aren’t doormats in life!!

Maybe we really were Anokhi ki deewani!! I always defended her point of view because I really identified with her. She had reasons for her viewpoint and a mature way of conveying her stand.

I always thought that Shaurya failed miserably in their relationship, at least once. When BM announced his engagement to Shagun and he allowed bM to insult Anokhi. Even now just writing this down my heart aches with pain thinking of Anokhi....

Yes......Shaurya's silence in that scene was the biggest disappointment. I'm not sure what their intention was with that scene. What would we have gotten if KV hadn't gotten sick? The Ranjha scene was sooooo well done. Anokhi's heartbreak was palpable!

Exactly. That's why used to say, people are so used to mahan and crying FLs that they couldnt grasp that Anokhi put her own wellbeing ahead instead of "sudharo-fying" Shaurya and then marrying him.

People did not understand that it is NOT Anokhi's job to make Shaurya a better man or changing his soch. Shaurya is responsible for his own ideology.

People treated Anokhi's ability to hold her stand like a curse, only because it was hurting Shaurya. Some people could not see her point smiley12 when she clearly said that she can never change her soch, love would vanish in thin air once they start fight everyday.... THAT WAS SO PRACTICAL.

I love the discussion around selfish vs selfless heroines. Taking care of yourself and standing up for yourself is considered selfish in ITV. If you don't sacrifice your pride at the altar of your love, you apparently don't love that person enough. And when did women become responsible for rehabilitating men? Fix yourself first and then get in a relationship.

I loved Anokhi's outlook and agree with it wholeheartedly. Love is not the cure for a mismatched couple. Love will keep us together is such a myth(to me). Compatibility and compromise and respect and equality matters in the day to day. Someone who doesn't see you as an equal before marriage won't wake up one day and realize their mistake. This rewatch is making me such a Anokhi ki deewani!!

The entire point of their relationship!

The moment it was confirmed that Shaurya has the same thinking as the men of her family, she had started running miles away.... To preserve her heart and her dreams.

I think Anokhi's insecurities, more like PTSD as you rightly said, were downplayed or misunderstood as her lack of feelings for Shaurya. People kept saying that her feelings are not as intense as Shaurya's.

Isn't that prejudice as well?

Saying that emotionally strong women, practical women are insensitive? So to be really in love, a person is supposed to be blind and mindless?

I think not.

I always empathized with Anokhi because of this. She was put in a place where she had to choose between love and self-respect.

Men in her life have given her reasons to not trust them.

She thought practically, she thought of the future of their relationship and chose her self-respect.

YES TO ALL OF THIS!! Funny how men never have to choose between such things. If they choose their pride and ego, it's not considered selfish. If a women chooses herself, she's considered not as committed.

I hated the talk around the depth of Anokhi's feelings. I do wish the writers had elaborated more on this. But it was never a question to me that Anokhi loved Shaurya. As soon as she realized her feelings, she was all in. She was meeting Shaurya half-way in everything. It's what made Shaurya confident about her feelings during Holi and then asking her out on a date and then confession as well. He knew she had feelings for him. She never tried to hide it.
