I don’t use my KD knowledge while analysing Ghum 😀.
I think of KD while discussing about KD itself and also when I can see how a few things are shown as copy paste. I had actually decided not to even get into any discussions because a few things doesn’t make sense at all. They want to keep a 3rd angle alive and doing it illogically. Also, even though they showed us some progress with the leads, they make one or the other character take a few steps behind only to be able to follow KD syllabus, only to drag the confession. They introduce a few things like
Sairat lollipops and confuse audience by making Sai act clueless and not accept their relationship. A few things makes sense, her hesitance, her insecurity but by adding many kiss and miss scenes, they are confusing the audience. They did this during the kidnapping track too. They had to come up with that track and then they did a blind copy paste. In KD, the character of Devi would be about to commit suicide, so it made some sense for her to help her get married to Pulkit in a hurry. Without any reason, they did that copy paste in Ghum 🤷♀️🤦♀️.
In KD, Emon would be upset that it is her Dad’s barsi and not just their wedding anniversary and so that was another reason why she would explode when Rono tries to celebrate. They have shown them doing her Dad’s barsi, but even then made her explode. Again, they tried to add that obnoxious story by Virat and some yoga instructor scene to make her explode but it still didn’t make sense to many here. The reason that it was her Dad’s barsi and she was expected fo celebrate her anniversary and exploding because of that made lot more sense and people could understand too. The makers don’t know when to copy paste and when not to. They are not able to substantiate their own scenes or the behavior of the characters. The whole show has become a joke. I had decided not to get into any serious discussion because I can see that all they are trying to do is drag it exactly like KD with no logic at all.
