Pixar recently released a movie called Luca. Are the people running Pixar murderers and cannibals too because their lead character shares his name with a murderer/cannibal?

Umzie, in India it’s different. I don’t think it’s something that people who didn’t grow up in a country like India would understand. It’s something very cultural. Or history is far deeper and so are the scars.

Ohh you said your cousin married into a Royal family and had to take up a Hindu last name, so I thought your cousin was the girl here.

My cousin is a he who married a nawab’s daughter.

I don’t think Nawabs are royals, they are just noblemen 😆

I personally know Pakistanis or some Indian Muslims who say that Aurangazeb was a “good and spiritual person” 😆

Alakh 🤗

She made a similar point as me. Even if she is American, are there not people naming their kids Ted or Timothy or any other domestic terrorist/murderer/school shooter? No one in the States cares that there are kids being born every day who share a name with these evil men.

Now like I said earlier, I am not from India so I cannot fully grasp the sentiments of Indians when it comes to such matters so Indian celebrities should be careful in this regard. However, some posts here are coming across as either ignorant or bigoted. I don't understand the need to bring in religion at all. If Saif-Kareena gave their kids these names on purpose then that's on them and it's disgusting to use their own kids for attention but maybe just maybe they both actually liked these names. Maybe Kareena wasn't coerced and these were simply the only names both partners could agree on. People here are saying that Saif's Muslim side is dominating Kareena but does Saif even care about Islam or practice it that he would force these things upon her? I doubt it.

I understand. 🤗

I was replying to the comment that people who share a name with a terrorist must also support them. I wasn't negating the hurt and sentiments of Indians. The point I was making was that just because someone shares a name with an evil person does not automatically mean that they also share the same beliefs as them or support their terrible actions.

I don't think the name Jehangir should be a problem, there are many Jehangir roaming around in India, although obviously after Taimur, this do really sound like a deliberate attempt at creating controversy, and knowing the shallow bitches that are Kareena and Saif are, they probably are doing this for controversy. Because of the publicity success that Taimur was.

If he did not care, then why did he insist on naming all four kid according to Islamic norms? Also,he once in an interview said that he believes in a God-made religion like Islam and not any 'man made religion'.

Saif has been a religious Muslim since his childhood. Do some reading on him. His father ensured he got proper religious training from a very young age.

Oh okay my bad. Even so, I doubt his beliefs are that strong or that his day to day life is dictated by his religion. A Muslim yes but a religious or practicing one? I dunno about that. Even if his father had him practicing Islam from an early age, that doesn't necessarily mean that Saif continued to practice it like that in adulthood. I have no idea how it is over there but Muslim parents generally name their kids together, with each other's consent and neither spouse's choice takes precedence. Names are selected after much discussion and deliberation. If Kareena was coerced and her opinion not given any importance then that's sad. Kareena I get may be weak in front of Saif but Amrita is a strong woman so why were her kids given Muslim names? Amrita must have had a say no?

Celebrities especially in the west have given their kids some really ridiculous names including one that can't even be pronounced because it's a whole bunch of symbols. I feel sorry for those kid but at the end though, it's not something that concerns me. Anyways, I guess if it's such a huge issue for people in India then their celebrities might want to think twice.

How many of them are named Adolf?
