Hey everyone!!!
So many of us including me are unhappy of this ridiculous copy pasting by the makers!
So I just wanna ask is there any rule or anything such in their contract that if they r remaking any serial they should abide by the story !?!? Can't they deviate after one point with better plots with better tracks for the cast!
I mean they can show SamRakhi moving on, Sunny marriage ,Devi getting recovered, Mohit being successful or some other pleasant plots....
Nope don't think so. But they may not have allotted budget for a writer 😂😂
They have so many characters to show parallel stories but their love for p is unending that they want to continue with the invisible love triangle and give her pages and pages of monologues with tears 😭😭 leaving all other characters with 1 or no dialogues 🙄

I’m not sure if they have some different set of conditions, but there are enough examples to prove that remakes take their own course. They only borrow the main plot and tweak the story as it progresses.
Maybe Vankar wants to be different, and keep the original with a touch of his creativity🤣🤣

If that's the case then only god can save us🤣
I think someone else also here talked about the top show which is also a remake - it's also dragging in parts and the core story sort of remains the same - but there are a lot of changes the makers have made to suit it to a larger audience. I understand that show's Marathi version is even better - so that itself shows there is no such rule.
I was also seeing the show that went off-air recently, and they really did a good job changing many things while sort of retaining the original story framework. Ghum has a lot of scope for many things, including actually exploring KBA's mental health issues (all things aside - it's genuinely something women across the world are grappling with, especially in the pandemic), seeing the impact of the male chauvinistic world Virat grew up in on his attitude and how he learns from it, how Sai learns to moderate her aggression with maturity (instead of just showing her wanting approval from her criminal in-law family!) etc. Even something as simple as the physical attraction between Sai and Virat - who are sharing intimate space at the end of the day - and monologues on how it's affecting Sai that she's falling in love / getting attracted to a man who, in her eyes, belongs to someone else. I mean she is a young girl at the end of the day and there is so much scope to show her trying to piece together what she's feeling for the first time in her life - I work with young teenage girls in a Home and they have so many mental issues and so much trauma that stems from things like a parent's death (even at a very young age) and we sort of try to mentor them and talk through their issues - and Sai has gone through this trauma twice now plus a serious case of sexual harassment. These are socially important topics that would make such a difference, which sadly ITV does not show at all. That way, to some extent, the top show does do this through some of their dialogues and what they try to show - and kudos to them for that.
Sigh. Sorry, this post turned out to be longer than I thought. I just really wish Ghum would change up a little, tone down the drama and cheap zillat arena harassment of a 19 year-old girl, and actually work out some way to bring out a better and proper love story (with less jalebis!) and without Rono or Emon's avatars often taking over SaiRat.
