This show was my supposed break from all the things irl. I had been able to disconnect easily from that show years back too easily in comparison to this...MHRW, RaghVi - they turned into some characters that are etched in my heart now. I mean, I turned myself into an active member from a silent reader for this show and that says a lot already.

But yes, you both are right. I'll have to take a break & I'll go watch 2-3 other series so that it takes off the edge now.

If I may suggest, you can watch some hallmark movies, if you like lovey dovey kind of things. I know it's too teenage girl kind of thing but whenever I think I need a laugh I just watch those and laugh at the plot and the fact that I can predict the story from the first few scenes😆

RaghVi are something special❤️ They're so dear to me that I made an account on IF just to be able to talk and gush about them. So I completely understand what you feel but sometimes a breather is nice so that you can come back with a fresh mind and enjoy what we are given in the show🤗

Hated her leaving Pallu alone with Mandaar in his room after reassuring Raghav. Pallu pe toh ab bas daya aa rahi hai ab. Intention are good, but she doesn't realize how vile the people she's surrounded by are. Yahaan Mandaar, Vijay, Sulo, uddhar Kirti, Sunny- no reprieve

Yes. Almost all Gul shows have a rich educated buisness man with a dark past marrying an uneducated woman who knows no English because of her troubled family. Also, he ill treats her. They show it romantically, eventually in the end they fall in love and he asks sorry for his misdeeds. (Which is unacceptable cause all he has done in the show is manhandled the female lead)

The first show was Geet, then IPKKND which became a global hit and topped the TRP charts without a Saas Bahu drama. The eye locks and intensity were new to the screen then.

The other stories are copy of these characters. Gul apparently loves dark man and a bubbly female shows. They show good comedy but the characters are indigestible.

Ekta toh don't ask. I don't know what her system is made of. Love against family values, Death, coma, etra marital affair, one father- two pregnant love interests and the continuation of their love story. It keeps going in a loop.

Both are toxic in their own ways.

My god the obsession with a dark man is unreal Why can't they show a dark lady for once? One of few complaints I had from this show initially were that for a character as layered as Raghav, Pallavi has literally got nothing... like did Pallavi not live before being a widow? Is she like draupadi who was born an adult out of fire for her to have no past references? Why is Mandar the only important thing from her past?

IPKKND was a hit because it was completely new to the screens. I remember Madhubala from colours being so famous and people going crazy over RK so I decided to watch it again during lockdown but it was so toxic. I'm so glad that I didn't watch it while it was being aired because I would've had such bad impressions of how a man should treat his wife!

EK shows do go on in a very long loop. Kumkum Bhagya is still running and Pragya and Abhi still have black hair and no wrinkles. Abhi's dadi is still alive
