Karishma is quite worse off because her husband is not earning .. that’s why her state is worse than an unpaid maid in the house ..it is sad that Sai never tells her devar to start doing something more .. karishma should go out n work ..

IPS officers can earn in crores only if they are corrupt otherwise the base salary is not much. They get a lot of perks. IPS officers have so much power and status in society but unless they take bribes they cannot be rich. As per the show, Virat is a very upright officer so he won't be earning much.

@ Bold, I seriously love this about Sai. It's close to reality and I would love to see more such scenes in the future. I loved the way she threatened Amay and his bua.

Yes right my cousin uncle is district collector. They have government Cook and maid on there government banglow . Most of the expenses paid by government so almost all salary saved.

I was searching about the salary the other day and I saw it wasn't that high. That's why I didn't understand how he could buy expensive jewelries for his wife, give away money so easily just after 3 to 4 years of working.

1 year of working...my didi is lecturer in school she gets around 70,000..IAS ki starting salary lecturer se Kam hoti hai

I read that during the 3 years training they are paid. That's why I said 3 to 4 years of work.

Uhh...no. An IPs officers salary can vary from 56,000 to 2,25,000. Virat must earn around 1, 30,000 per month. As for house and other things, yes that is one facility which officers do get, but Virat doesn't actually make use of them. An officer, not just police, gets a bungalow. Virat should get a type V bungalow (shown in gadchiroli), but he lives in his own house of course. Also, as to why you never see any wife or family member of a police officer working hard in kitchen because officer also get followers appointed to their houses, not just one but usually two to three followers at least. Which again, is not shown here. And they don't have to pay for anything. But my point is, officers are appointed these by the govt., not because they earn a lot and they afford it for themselves. As for the reason behind these special treatments, that is for another topic.
