Why I think the plot actually sucks now

Firstly - thank you to forum members for allowing all sorts of venting, negative, types of topics LOL.

Secondly. So I had a thought as I was replying to someone else. You know why this plot sucks so much? It's because there is really no remorse or inner turmoil shown of Fateh & Jasmin. Fateh once in a while has it, but for Jasmin, there is NO remorse shown. They are not worried at ALL.

Fine, the CVs want to show a story of EMA and cheaters and maybe even the cheaters getting their happy ending. But where's there moral compass? They have zero? Really? If one wanted a quality show, wouldn't they want to focus on the emotions of the cheaters, to try and get some kind of sympathy from the audience?

All Fateh thought today was "oh... dang.. I'm lying to Tejo". There has been no scene of him pondering his next moves, how to tell Tejo, will he divorce Tejo. Where's the inner conflict? Wheres the complexity in his emotions?

Am I expecting too much? LOL.

The writing of show has never been dt great. Its shoddy.

I hv never even completely understood Fateh. One day he is crying over Jasmine , next day he is flirting wid Tejo. I even found the progress nd transistion of Fatejo relationship too fast.

Jasmine....toh is clear .....she doesnt give a damn abt anyone or anyone's feelings. She is the very definition of self love and selfish combined. All she cares abt is herself , her ego , her pride. We all hate her but atleast she has always been dt way.

I said it in a different thread I think - but for Fateh and how he reacts/acted with Tejo - I think it was really (in the beginning, pre active cheating) about him "faking it till he made it" type of scenario. He was actively trying to get over Jasmine by moving "on" with Tejo. It's like dating a rebound after you've broken up with your longterm s.o. Sometimes the rebound relationship works out, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes you go through the motions of dating someone else even when you're not fully over your ex. So I think because its not real love, its ok that it was fast. People sleep with others all the time for many reasons that have nothing to do with love. I think Fateh likes her, is attracted to her, & drawn to her but whatever he feels for Tejo is not yet enough to take him out of the grasp of Jasmine (as dumb as I think his love for Jasmine is)

Now with the active cheating, I think Fateh doesn't like being the bad guy. He likes to keep his "good" image. He can't own up to his own misdeeds because he likes that Tejo sees the good in him and he has a hard time crushing that. I also think he is attracted to Tejo - when he was with her that night, he never once thought about Jasmine. She was an after thought. But he gets overwhelmed with Jasmine so much that he then forgets about Tejo. He basically wants to have his cake and eat it too. At the same time, clearly he doesn't care about Tejo enough. All he thought today was "oh dang, I'm lying to Tejo". There was no remorse in his actions because he's a coward. If he feels remorse or guilt, it's going to push him to tell Tejo and have to own up to all his misdeeds. All we see is he's scared to get caught because in truth, there's a part of him that wants Tejo as his wife. She fits better with his family -- he knows it and has said this several times. He dumb, but he ain't that dumb. He's gonna milk this situation as much as he can. Gross.

I'm waiting for the day Tejo walks out and he's like "oh shit".

Def agree, writing is shoddy. The only reason I binged this (and skipped several episodes here and there while doing it) was because I saw Fateh + Tejo clip on IG, thought they had great chemistry, Ankit is hot AF, and didn't know what I was signing up for. I was ok with the Fateh + Tejo marriage, really almost everything until they showed Fateh going back to Jasmine. Now I just want to see Tejo taking Fateh & Jasmin down lol.

I came across a clip it was after their wedding, Fateh was spewing some bs all usual and Tejo said stop it, I also know how to scream. I thought why not try it.

So for 2 weeks I found the show okay. With Fateh, a bit stupid for trying to get himself beaten up because he wanted to show Tejo and his dad he isn't mentally ready to finally making small steps to sort his life.

I was always sceptical for the moving on part and the way he kept harping "my wife, my wife". It felt too soon for someone who married their best friend but few days back was obsessed with her sister. It felt like he was reassuring himself that this was his future and he couldn't look backwards at his past.

The characters are also badly written. I said it in numerous posts that the 3 leads are dependent on each other. Tejo's life revolved around Jasmine, Jasmine needed Tejo and Fateh was obsessed with Jasmine. They have no indication, we do not get to see their growth properly because the triangle is the main focus.

What we saw for a few episodes was Fateh opening his academy and for 1 episode Tejo wanting to go to work. We also do not get to see the equation with other family members so we assumed that Tejo has gelled well into the family.

The story is slow right now, we get 1 week of one character doing a particular stuff and this week might be dumb Tejo week.

Out of the 3 leads, it's hardest to connect to Fateh because he is confused and indecisive. There is no point trying to understand him when he himself doesn't.

If the show undergoes a Leap, perhaps we get to see Tejo living alone and achieving her dreams of Ph.D in Canada.
