Let's just say Karma has yet again bit me in the a**. Earlier I used to wonder why doesn't Madhura like to watch remakes. I've got my answer last night.

There are some crucial sequences of Kusum Dola which I was eager to watch in Ghum too because I wanted to see how they modify it.

I won't lie, Ayesha has pleasantly surprised me with the way she emoted with her eyes. But Neil's overenthusiasm made me laugh like crazy. And people call this melodrama heartfelt but Rishi (The original actor who played Rono) a wood plank. 🤣 🤣 🤣

BTW, did you watch the clips I shared? I have to do so much discussion on them. 😛

Even I watched that sequence... Mainly because I found a hell lot of clips on insta when I opened the MHRW tag. Ayesha did surprise me in the sequence but I just couldn't control my laughter at Neil's overenthusiasm. Mann!! That was just another level...🤣 🤣 🤣

You see, I have no problem with Neil. I myself said Neil is better than Rishi and at times I too felt he was too wooden.

But it's more about the melodrama and how people go gaga over it without realizing the context.

I think I told this once, in KD everybody was grey. You could understand the passion behind Roop's madness or Emon herself was so arrogant that at points it was impossible to root for her. As for Rono, he was extremely grey. And it made sense. That's why he committed some horrible blunders but when he apologized, he would hardly cry but one could understand his turmoil, if you look into it properly.

Here no matter what happens, they make Virat cry. So it's like they introduce the crucial tracks from the original but it doesn't make any sense because they have created this image of Sada-Sanskari ML. How do you explain the outbursts then? It doesn't fit at all.

And of course subtlety. Emon was hell angry with Rono for character assassinating her and he didn't shed a single drop of tear in the entire fiasco. He remained calm, took care of her, literally told her why did he react that way as he felt jealous. In fact, there he didn't behave like a maniac in front of the classmate either. He threatened him but in a much restrained manner. And still when Emon got back, all healthy and chirpy, that's the point when he actually cried in their room and Emon was like - okay, I am fine, don't cry, I won't ever leave you.

I have read so many comments like there was visible distance between Emon and Rono and here Sai and Virat are more physically comfortable. But is proximity the only measure of closeness? They could stand a foot apart and yet you could understand the co-dependence.

But anyway, yaha to bas cheesy stuff chalta hain. 😉

Arre bahut pehle se hi kiya tha, I had told too. I randomly started, but I see very less movies currently 😃, ek do full alag hi the, funny... And kaafi kuch, then one was Maara, which I saw purely for Madhavan and Art. Ye movie I saw for AR Rahman sir, vfx was a pleasant surprise. Plus hindi are just on with faltu remakes, violence and intimate stuff. 😡

I guess you also see South movies pehle se.

Jokes apart, I would say it's bi-directional. You have to give time to the makers and as a fan it's your right to protest when they show anything in name of entertainment. But after a certain point, you have to let it go.

The same goes for the PHs. They don't pay any heed to criticism, then make a khichdi out of good shows and then abruptly end the shows. So up to a certain extent I understand why the fans trend for a new season. But then again, when you have already started feeling detached, why do you want to save a sinking ship when chances are the mess will turn into something even more messy?

So I am quite pleased with audience rejecting most of the shows because it can be the beginning of a positive change when makers will start to create finite but more meaningful shows.
