Let me start with a big, fat apology! I should have been investigating this suspense - but couldn't. My loss!
Where do I start? maybe, where I left!
Chapter 3
This was poignant, mysterious. You write the unspoken words beautifully. And the words spoken with eyes more so!
The way it started with his smirk, a smile, a surprise, a realisation. Her worry, her confusion, her fury, her realisation. 👏
Loved the last look sequence; and liked the last tear bit. Emotions flow naturally via words.
And S is always P! ❤️
And the last paragraph. Had I been looking carefully, it held the answers. But, frankly, I got it only after reading the 4th chapter. The words about 'I can't let it to be completed', 'I have to stop you' were telling me something but I wasn't listening. I also think, it has got to do with me getting distracted by the drama around. The VD/Mandaar bit.
But this last paragraph set a mood; of what was going to come. Some kind of double-cross. A way of being at loggerheads.
and then came the 4th chapter.
It started straight away (did you finish it quick?). Full on drama. The layers of the onion were coming off, one at a time. P's identity (rather S's).
Let me share something I noticed; or imagined. I felt it rushed. Reason, the revelations came as dialogues spoken by one to the other. I don't think that's your style of revealing it. You make the reader work for it - don't just serve it on a platter.
and then the finale. This time the fire didn't take the bullet; but the ice did! (sorry, I will need to stop going back to nightmare; not off the hangover!)
To the epilogue.
Clarified the final other bits. akin to Mr & Mrs Smith. 😃 (and am royally ignoring the RR dropped-dead bit; it wudnt change the story till here. It will change what happens later, but we aren't talking about what's not written).
Stoic - this word has been bothering me. trying to ring some bell. All it took me back to was, as I said before, a Family Man 2 type of reference. A mission. Not far, I can say. 😳
Fire flickers. Is it worse if I have still not gotten it? 😭 Need help!
A very satisfying read; am sure the experience would have been better, had I read it as and when it was getting written and theorising more. 😃
thank you! 👏👏
