Yes i also hope that vankar bhaiya will change the story line after confession and take some help from the Tamil one and they should definitely take the memory loss track one that will be too good of a track.
Whattt...i stopped watching at confession fearing shruthis track. So we are in for this torture still. After this track, we can hope for changes in the script. I am positive about vankar now 👍🏼
@bolded: This I did not know I meant more in the sense of his realization of what place he holds in Emon's life. But, as you have written, if he basically did the same thing again, then I'm not even too sure what to say....
Do post your response later if you are in the mood. I would love to read it.
That's why I haven't replied to your post.
There is no justification for Virat and his actions.
So what if he's falling in love, so what if he's posessive with regards to his wife? His disgusting double standards are on another level. His 'lover' openly talks about her past with him and he can't put a break on it and set everyone straight- but he's going to go in all like a bulldozer razing everything to the ground when it comes to Sai.
If a case like this came to him at the station he'd probably be in favour of 'honour killing' of the wife. I know it sounds extreme, but what Virat did here was nothing less than extreme.
He keeps on harping to his beast lover about his wife being immature and childish- Sai has more honestly and sense in her little finger than the two beast friends put together.😡
She sees Aj in college EVERYDAY- if she wants she can do anything but no, she needs her specific bedroom to carry out ema .
He and his best friend would know as they've bn doing it under the rooftops with all these elders present.
In ystday Anupama epi, the Baa character spoke about a person can only give to the person infront what's within them - Pakhi and BK time and time again show what kind of characterless women they both are.
But honestly, it truly angers me when it comes to Ashwini- why does she never stand up for Sai? Does she not have an atom of faith in her?

I don't think we can judge Virat based off of something he hasn't even done yet. We do not know if the makers will show the cafe track and how they will approach it, so we shouldn't attack him for that. In my post, I was referring to Rono...that if he did that after the suicide track in KD, then I have no words. But, again, I don't know the context since I haven't seen it. Actions of people can be horrible and unjustifiable, but they can still be understood. And that was the point of my original post to begin with.
I never said that Virat's actions can be justified. I never defended him. I just attempted to understand where he was coming from and why he acted in the way he did. Virat is a possessive man, but yesterday's outburst was due to his insecurities and fears more than anything else. His intention was never to accuse Sai of being characterless, which is why he looked so shocked when she asked him that. He looked hurt even that she would say those words. In his rage, he did not comprehend the implications of his own questions. It was not until the guy on the street said he saw Virat running behind Sai and yelling at her, and Virat slammed his forehead with Sai's lifeless body in his lap that he realized how much he had messed up. His emotions had been building up inside of him for so long, and he let them boil instead of tackling them. He does this a lot, where he lets things build up inside of him and then all it takes is a trigger for him to completely black out and lose track of his rationality. Is this acceptable? Of course not. But, this is human nature. People in love who have left themselves vulnerable and are afraid it might be unreciprocated do crazy things. I have witnessed these types of outbursts in my own life, where people become clouded with so much emotion, that they quite literally become another person.
The problem with Virat's attitude towards Pakhi is that he himself has pure intentions, and he isn't capable of looking at the situation from Sai's perspective. At this point, not only is he indifferent towards her, but he despises her. So, when she starts her vile tamashas indirectly declaring her love for him or when she barges into their bedroom, he tries to maintain the peace rather than creating confrontation... which again, is a part of his personality. However, as we have seen, he is no longer tolerating her saying anything against Sai. He is defending Sai at all costs. And we cannot use yesterday as an example to contradict that, because he was in a trance. We need to wait until he gets back into reality, especially after being traumatized by Sai's accident, to see how this entire situation plays out. All of this is not to say that I don't agree with you... Virat is a hypocrite. But not out of malice. It is due to his lack of ability to look at situations from perspectives other than his own.
I completely disagree that Virat would be in favor of honor killing his wife. What happened yesterday had nothing to do with him questioning Sai's honor in my opinion, as I have explained above.
Again, none of this is to defend Virat's actions nor words from yesterday. But, I think that humans are complex and they make mistakes...grave mistakes that they often regret for the rest of their lives. And for Virat, this will be one of them. If this were the real world, Virat would need serious therapy and anger management classes, because his inability to control his emotions deeply hurts those around him and it happens far too often. But, alas, this is ITV.

I know human beings are complex. They can do the most unusual acts without the slightest hint of remorse. I've seen people married for nearly 4decades and then they say they don't even recognise the person, who is their spouse now, even though they've shared the most intimate relationship two people can share between them.
What I want to say is, no matter how educated, polished, from a decent background we are from - it is in moments like this our inherent and intrinsic characteristics come out.
It's not difficult to pinpoint Virat. I think even the forumwasis have a more than good idea of what can make him tick and where he'd react how. And he's proved his record time and time again.
And I really dislike men who question the honour of their wives, they hold no value infront of me - no matter what he does for the rest of his life to make up for it. You cannot make up for something so low and disgusting that you yourself are engulfed in.
BTW lovely discussion - really enjoying reading all the different perspectives.

@first bold: I agree with this, which is why I always say that Virat is a cool-headed person who plays peacemaker. He is a dutiful peace officer. He is a man who loves deeply. But, he is also a man with absolutely 0 control over his emotions. If this were not ITV and real life, then he would be in need of serious therapy and anger management classes, because his actions only end up hurting himself and even more so those around him. That being said, I don't think that things he said when he was out of his mind, not even himself comprehending what he was saying, can be held against him to say that is all he is. Just like what he did cannot be completely ignored and defended. This outburst was unacceptable, but he is also still the same man with a strong moral compass who would do anything for his wife...and he has shown that to us time and time again.
@second bold: I dislike any partner who questions the honor of their spouse..it doesn't matter if it is a man or a woman. But, to me, intentions are really key here. Like I have said, I do not believe it was Virat's intention to question Sai's character yesterday. He did not realize the implications of his own words. And, this is not to defend what he did. Because at the end of the day, his questions had implications, and those implications completely destroyed Sai. Her heart broke every single time he shouted the question at her. The way with which Ayesha portrayed Sai's breakdown yesterday was outstanding. And, Virat is going to realize all of his himself as soon as he breaks out of this trance. He is going to realize that what he did, regardless of whether he himself comprehended it or not, crossed all lines.
BTW lovely discussion - really enjoying reading all the different perspectives.
Me too! It's always nice when we can see things from each other's perspectives ❤️
