I agree and disagree, both!
I actually like his screen presence better than Ved's. His physique, voice modulation, expressions, they're all on point and what I really admire is that he hit the right note from the very first day. It didn't take him time to get into his character and evolve from there. It sort of helps the audience believe that he has a history in the show and in each character's life as Mandaar.
That being said, I think the reason Mandaar's aura seems a little off is because he didn't start off as the good person he was always referred to, instead he started off as grey. As an audience who only ever heard of him in a positive light, it's hard to connect with him now that he seems borderline psychotic.
On the other hand, I actually think Ved's character could use some work. He's got more monologues than action and he seems a bit of a Voldemort (Harry Potter reference for those who are unfamiliar) in the sense that he always needs a crutch to help execute his plans. He's not sufficient on his own to stand up to Raghav. (In that case... who even is?! LOL!)
Sunny seems to be doing well, but again, not much substance in his character either. While Raghav's arrogance and ego is justified by his career and fame in the city, Sunny's arrogance is pretty baseless so it's hard to take him seriously.
I know this isn't about the actors themselves, but for example, an actor like Chetan Hansraj would come across as an impactful villain against Raghav. That's where I'm going with this... nothing wrong with their acting, but Ved and Sunny just don't seem like they can throw a punch that would actually injure Raghav. Mandaar does seem like that and that's why I am able to connect with him better.
I adore Farhad's character - he's the perfect sidekick! It just sucks that his screen presence is so limited and that he is sent off to tackle something or the other as soon as he walks in the frame. I wish we get to see more of him in the future and perhaps his family too! I once read an OS/SS on this forum about Farhad's sister's wedding and how RaghVi were a part of it. Sorry, can't recall the title or the author, but I would love to see that angle in the show so we can have some insight to how Farhad came into Raghav's life, how they became a force to reckon with, and how Farhad's family stepped in as Raghav's support system while his own family had abandoned him. I would love to see Farhad's parents treating Raghav like their own and Farhad's Ammi bonding with Raghav's Amma. Rather see those familial bonds than the Deshmukh Niwas nonsense!
