Could the show have done without a coerced marriage?

What if Tejo would have said no to marrying Fateh after he had said yes? If fatejo we’re still to be endgame could the show have moved forward without a wedding at that point? If yes how? Please share your thoughts!

If they did get married it would probably be due to mind games on her coo coo family’s part 👀

But they shouldn't have gone for ema. Otherwise the show could have been great.

I don’t think so. It would have been interesting and not so cliche if they had gone down that path but Fatejo was impossible because

A. Families hate each other

B. Who can fall for their almost BIL.. I mean some people do but it’s very hard.

I feel like it could have even ended FaTejo friendship. If they had shown that Jasmine decides to go to Canada on her own with Tejo’s help while helping her get PhD and Fateh’s parallel track where he just goes away for a while, finds something to work for and does it, we would have gotten a nice show about dreams. But love triangle and Fateh’s connection to Sandhu sisters would be gone.
