May be you are right but my understanding is different sometimes it's better we agree to disagree.

Nihal I know him before II as I belong to Karnataka. Nihal is good lately and actually better than current Male singers now but not couple of months back in my opinion. He had fair bit of chances. SMP's versatility I won't discuss as it was discussed many times and I know people have different opinions but one thing I can say SMP never was technically imperfect or forgot lyrics or did any drama to get favours like others. She is there purely based on talent. I don't compare SMP with other female singers any time just because she choose a different path and style. I actually admire her for that.

We all have our favourites and that's fine we need to support them I agree . But i have noticed here in this forum many a times either we compare or put down some contestants to prove our favourite contestant is better than all of them . We may have different opinions but at the end all are talented all 15 contestants . Just like you don't compare SMP , In my opinion all 15 are different, some are trained classical singers and some are not that fortunate to have got any training like sawai , some forget lyrics sometimes , some may not have participated in any reality shows at national level and many more things I can't go on saying . Let's admire all of them for their uniqueness without comparing .

Yes for yrs he suffered from acute depression. Glad he married but hope he has been treated for the condition. He was such a good singer who had bright future but sometimes our own thinking or attitude holds us back. Hope the best for him. Thx

I think Nachiket was eliminated early because he was more focused on showing his cross dressing skills and his costume dramas and acting . I remember Vishal clearly telling him once that this is a singing show and they want to see Nachiket the singer.

He did sing well at times though. He should have just been singing . He could have done the costume dramas separately after the song, just like Danish does with his acts.

Nihal has genuinely focused on his singing and see how he has grown and where he is now.

I don't think the contestants have the freedom to choose songs or decide the costumes and the make up it is done as per the dictat of the channel. Dadlani saying such things is questionable.

I don't think you've followed the show closely it was obvious that Nachiket was to be eliminated one day with the constant side lining by the makers.

Nihal is lucky to have been selected in the audition after having sung so horribly.

Sayli is a superior singer in the Bollywood category when she won the golden mic in the auditions.

Pawandeep, Danish, Sireesha, Ashish and even Nachiket had to contend with a golden ticket.

She deserves all the hype she is a singer of the top 2 category.

She sang well but so many contestants like Pawandeep, arunita, sawai, Sireesha, ashish etc had better audition and more watched on YouTube but they didn't get golden Mike.

It was so clear that she only got golden Mike because of her fathers ambulance story...

When he mentioned in auditions that he performed for Natya Sangeet the judges said they would like to see him perform in that avatar on stage

Prashant Tamang was indeed a case study of absurd! Such an average singer, won just because whole of Darjeeling was voting for him the whole night. Every phone booth was utilized, as per news reports immediately after.

Amit Paul was (is) a fantastic singer, with great control over vocals and perfect playback voice (an upgraded version of Nihal). He was a Bengali, settled in Shillong, but did not get the requisite support from him home state .

Similarly another Bengali boy, Rajdeep Chatterjee also lost out, albeit in a different Idol. In my personal opinion, have never seen anyone else in male singers with such talent. He was a combination of fantastic voice, great vocal controls, classical background, but lost early (may be top6). He also did not get required support from his home state

Regarding Idol 12 contestants

I personally feel, Arunita is getting support across India, and not just her home state. She has definitely stuck a chord with her vocals, with large number of supporters through out the country.

No need to talk about PD, as it is known, that he is the undisputed darling of female followers through out India

Danish, I feel gets support from whole North India, as they identify with him, with his chaste Hindi/Hindustani and choice of traditional Hindi songs - Bhajans/Quawwalis/vintage Hindi songs of Bollywood. He could be the dark horse of Idol 12

I would also think that SMP might be getting pan India support, as most of the time it was Sireesha, who was highlighted through whatsapp messages in her home state. I know of this as I have seen Sireesha being highlighted a lot in Facebook by Telugu users. Have never seen anything similar about SMP

Tauro, I suppose is now getting his well deserved fame, across country, by his flawless renditions of the old Bollywood songs .

Only Sayli has fallen into the trap of appealing to the home state, by asking for votes in Marathi on national stage. Should not have done that. Now unnecessarily, she has limited herself as a Marathi Mulgi!

It's a pity to think that way.

Views don't indicate anything Pawandeep has got some 100M views in some song that does not make him a great singer.

As far as I remember Sawai did get the golden mic so did Arunita (not sure ) about her though.

SMP, Anjali did get it I am sure.

It is very sad on this forum and elsewhere that a singer like Sayli does not have enough admirers to defend her.
