In what alternate universe is he living that acting and cricket were the only 2 professions held in high esteem?

Also, something that has gone on for 100 years is not all right just because it has gone on for 100 years.

Yeah, in retrospect, I can see it was a campaign to distract from other issues, but he's also actually justifying the way BW functions.
