Keerti nodded, satisfied. "You are a fighter, Pallavi. Itna to main jaanti hoon tumhe. Phir bhi." She leaned forward, taking her hands in her own. "Every queen needs an ally. Jab kabhi meri zaroorat pade ya mujhe kuch batana ho.. jhijhakna nahi, ok? I'm always there."
Pallavi felt a smile reach her lips, weak but genuine. "I know," she said simply.
Keerti smiled as well. Her friend was returning, little by little. She turned to leave.
"...Keerti?"
She turned back.
"Some mango juice, please." The smile had widened, just a bit.
She grinned. "On it, my queen."

First update! 😛 Sorry it was short, but I want to focus on the little things behind all the relationships 😳 Keerti was one of my favorites in the show, and she will continue to be portrayed that way here ❤️ None of the senseless stuff she's currently displaying onscreen
Leave your feedback, please! 🤗
I'm always reluctant to read FFs but these dialogues 😍 and now I can't wait to read more. 😃 Also, this Kirti! ❤ Iss Kirti ko miss kar rahi huin mein show me batao koi iss ko😭.
The first part was awesomee....loved the bond between Kirti and Pallavi
Pallavi striving to be herself, to think about herself---loved the line about queen
Chalo you also miss stuff then 🤣 Yeah 🗝️ I got trapped finally 😭😆
Fast updates ki umeed mat rakho 😆 Abhi abhi bas part 1 update hua hai, go check it out 😉
Hugs from 🐝 🤗
I don't think I have ever missed this much stuffs in any forum before. 🤣 Topics, quotes, tags, likes... I miss them all. I have lots of stories to catch up so I usually don't follow FF s but I'm reading this because, you are writing this and second im loving from where you are starting this. Always wanted to read a different take after the marriage. Let's see where you will take us. 😆
Read the first part. Keerthi has been my favorite character too, I still have hopes in her though. 🤪
You mean by the time I get second part I will forget this first. 🤣
🗝🤗🐝
Jaldi jaldi likho...i mean assignments khatam karke. Now i got your point about the theme...please do continue 🤗
A nice juncture in time you have picked to start your version of the story. 👏🏼👏🏼 And loved how you are planning to show Keerthi. A continuation of what she stood for, and how she was telling her mom that she is doing a mistake by suggesting the wedding. ❤️
Seat belts on! Waiting for this lala ride. And to see how Pallavi takes charge of her life in her terms. 👍🏼
Thank you so much 🤗
I was really excited for this story, but assignments came in and I had to take a break 😅 By now Keerti's character has taken quite a turn in the show, and Raghvi themselves have come so far... I hope you will still find yourself interested in this story 😳❤️
Galti se tag ho gaya tha😆Didn't see before posting😆
I read the first part and all I can say it was worth waiting ❤️
Thank you! 🤗
Second part is being updated rn 😆 Thoda late ho gaya, sorry about that. Assignments had me busy 😅

Raghav looked everywhere but at the woman in front of him. They were sitting in the living room, a couple feet away from the wedding mandap. Over the last few minutes, he had tried to meet her eyes several times, but the penetrating gaze had been too much to bear. His amma could always see right through him. He suddenly felt like a little boy again, caught for stealing candy. Even as he sulked, a part of his heart warmed in the memory.
"Kya main jaanna bhi chahta hai, ki tu ne kya kiya hai uske saath?" she asked, her voice cold.
"Kiske saath, amma?" Feigning innocence was the only option he had.
"Natak mat kar, Raghav. Tu acche se jaanta hai main kis baare mein baat kar raha hai," she said with a glare.
"Main sach mein nahi jaanta amma, tum kis baare m—"
"Pallavi," she cut him off. "Kaise maana wo iss shaadi ke liye?"
"Oh, wo." He cleared his throat. Manipulating the truth was something he knew well, thanks to his years of experience as a businessman. But lying to strangers was easy. Lying to his mother? Not so much. She had the eyes of a hawk, with powers that amplified whenever they landed on him. His hands felt clammy, and he resisted the urge to wipe them.
He had to hide this from amma, anyhow. She'd never forgive him.
C'mon, Raghav Rao. He relaxed his posture, injecting a tone of casual bluntness in his voice — the tone everyone was familiar with. "Simple tha amma. Maine usko realise karaya, ki usko mere saath kitna accha life milega karke. Paisa, property, izzat. Aur uska wo bakwaas saree ka dukaan, uska showrooms khulega main, profits hoyega. Waise bhi apne aap to usko profits milne se raha, saree ke naam pe parda bechta rehta hai—"
"Aur? Uska family?"
"Family...?" He blinked, caught off-rant. "Oh haan, family. Unko bhi respect aur profits na amma. Raghav Rao se judne wala hai wo log! Chinta nakko amma, sab samajh gaya wo Saree ka dukaan, bohot smart hai wo."
"Uska naam Pallavi hai."
"Haan.. wahi." He nodded quickly. "Pallavi."
"Aur main family ka profits nahi pooch raha tha." She scowled. "Tu ne unse baat kiya iss shaadi ko lekar? Wo log raazi to hua tha na? Koi aya kyun nahi shaadi pe?"
"Shaadi... pe... aya tha!" He said, suddenly remembering her aai and BWA. "Aya tha amma, par, shaadi khatam hote hi chala gaya. Wo sanki buddha — mera matlab sanki sasur — wo hospital mein hai na. Isliye."
"Hmm..."
She looked at him once more, scrutinising him. He looked on, apprehensive.
"Raghav," she said finally, her tone serious. "Pallavi ab tera wife hai, ye baat bhoolna mat. Uska har sukh ab tera responsibity. Ardhamainda?"
Of course, Raghav knew this already. To him, marriage was a lifetime commitment — one he had wished to stay far away from. But now that it was done, he would honour it. When it came to his relationships, Raghav Rao believed in 100% sincerity — and he saw no reason why this should be any different. Pallavi was his wife now. There was no love here, but Pallavi would get all the respect and comfort that Mrs Raghav Rao deserved.
"Ardhamaindi, amma," he said.
She scrutinised him again, more thoroughly this time. Finally, she muttered a satisfied "Hmm" and shifted her gaze. Raghav slumped. This test was passed, at least.
...Only now there was an awkward silence between them. The obvious topic having ended, there wasn't anything else to talk about. Raghav thought of ways to break the ice. Should he talk about Keerti? Her life and career? No, maybe he should keep it simple. Start with expressing gratitude that they were here. But maybe that would make amma stiffen up even more? She didn't really take well to his emotional gestures, after all...
No, he had one chance, he could NOT mess it up.
...Maybe he could talk about Jayati jewels? The new collection was doing fabulously and his clientele had increased too. Ugh, nope, what was he thinking—
"Kitchen kaha pe hai?"
"Huh?"
She rolled her eyes. "Maine poocha kitchen kaha pe hai."
Immediately he scrambled to his feet, his heart thumping crazily. What?
Half-dazed, he clasped her forearm, then another. "Aap... aap ghar dekhna chahta hai amma? Mere saath?"
He wanted to pull her into a hug, hold her tight and tell her how much he needed her. How much he missed her. How lonely and incomplete he felt without her. The emotions swirled around in his chest, overwhelming him.
"Ghar nahi, bas kitchen. Mereko lunch banana hai."
"Of—of course amma! Aap aao na, main dikhata hai aapko."
He took her to the kitchen, blabbering all the way. "Aapko malum amma, ye Reddy ko main kitna samjhaya, par ye aaj bhi ekdum bakwaas khaana banata hai. Aur bhindi to ekdum third class. Kabhi theek se namak hi nahi daalta! Aap... aap usko kuch sikha dena, ok? Aur ye dekho amma, yaha pe maine kone mein sarso rakha hai..." He pointed to a little bowl on the kitchen counter, just the way their old home used to have. Amma always said, a bowl of sarso kept away negativity and brought in happiness. According to her, it was a must-have in the kitchen — the place led to everyone's stomachs, after all.
Raghav didn't know a thing about cooking, but the first place he had entered in RR mansion was the kitchen. He'd been eager to drive away the darkness in his life, and he'd placed the bowl with a hope that it'd bring him back his happiness — his family. Suddenly, after so many years, he felt a rush of emotion towards it. He picked it up and clutched it to his heart. Mera family mera itna kareeb khada hai.... ab bas do kadam aur. Unko mere tak pohuncha do, please.
Amma was remembering another world... a world where everything was simple and good. Where her family lived together in happiness. That perfect little world had slipped away from her like sand passing through fingers. In a second, everything was destroyed. Her eyes moistened in the unfairness of it all.
Stop. Not in front of him.
With a quick flick over her eyes, she hardened herself. "Bas bohot dekh liya kitchen," she said, casting an irritated look around her. "Itna bada ghar mein bas kitchen hi hai kya?"
She'd thrown it as a taunt, but it had the opposite effect on Raghav. A rush of happiness filled up his heart. She was asking to see his house. How long had he waited for this day? His eyes teared up, and a lump formed in his throat. He gulped it down, sniffling.
"Arey amma, ye RR mansion hai." He sniffled again. "Aap dekhna start to karo, bas dekhta hi reh jaoge." He was full on crying now. "Aapka beta bohot stylish hai amma," he said as he wiped at his face — blotchy, swollen and as far away from style as it could be at the moment.
His words were true, though. For even in that non-stylish face, there shone a happiness brighter than anything else. A joy so true, it made amma look away. She didn't have the heart to stomp it out.
As the mother and son walked off, him dragging her along like an excited kid, a pair of eyes watched them in silence.

Sooo... part two's here! 😆 Sorry it came so late... last month took me up with assignments, and by the time I was back, I didn't know if people would even be interested in this story anymore. Raghav, Pallavi, Keerti... their dynamics have changed so much 😅
But I still decided to continue, for those of you who still might be interested 😳 Please comment and leave your feedback! 🤗
P.S. Who do you think that silent observer was? 😉

Update short tha, but I am not able to find words for how much I loved it. Honestly, if you could see me now- meri aankhein bhar aayi, yeh padh ke.
Kirti-Pallavi is a relationship that caught hold of my heart from their first scene, where Harish is stalking Kirti, and never let go since then. I know we've been told more than shown about the depth of their relatinship, but jo bhi scraps mile, itne pyaare mile ❤️❤️❤️
Pallavi helping her deal with a stalker. Kirti being the one she trusted with something as critical as shop accounts. When Pallavi was ousted, Kirti was the one who knew immediately where she would go. Kirti immediately taking in a homeless Pallavi. The fact that in all the drama around the wedding, Kirti was the only person (apart from Krishna), be it the Raos or the Deshmukhs, whose was thinking exclusively about Pallavi's well being and none of the other frills and drama around what had happened. The midnight gossip sessions. When Pallavi found out about Sunny, the trust and maturity with which she responded. Haan, aur bonding dikha sakte the, magar jitni dikhai, mere liye kaafi thi.
The tension between these two has been tearing me up so, so badly mein kya bataun. Breakups between the lead pair, I can happily tolerate for the angst. When these beautiful friendships fall apart, it's so hard to watch. I still have hopes they'll find their relationship again, but till they do, you gave me mere waale Pallavi and Kirti, ILYSM for it 🤗🤗
The line, "Main theek ho jaungi," oof. So, so powerful, and so very Pallavi- she isn't afraid to admit she's not perfectly alright in the moment, but she knows she'll bounce back from this. Bouncing back is what she's an expert at.
And your entire scene, it was so in character for the two girls, it reminded me perfectly of one of the scenes in the show- right after Raghav's 'proposal', while at the same time Jaya has told Kirti about the condition she set. Pallavi came home, and the two girls read in each other's eyes that something was going very, very wrong, but both had something preventing them from speaking freely, but the support was silently and effectively conveyed. Your scene gave me the exact same vibes!
I think almost chapter jitna lamba comment ho gaya, but I couldn't help it, bhavnaon mein beh gayi ❤️
Omg Ashi, tumne to mujhe hi emotional kar diya! 🥺🥺 I love this entire comment ❤️❤️
You just pointed out every single thing I loved and admired about their relationship 🥺 Aur kuch add karne ko hai hi nahi. I'm glad I was able to project the OG Pallavi-Keerti here, bcz show wali Keerti to...
The scene you pointed out, that's the exact one I was sourcing my inspiration from. I was remembering what they were like, how they would stay silent and still understand each other in a subtle way. They had such a powerful bond and I was planning to expand on that. Hopefully I still can! 😅🤞🏼
