The show is now showcasing all the social touchpoints in today's world - racism, social justice, class, caste, women's empowerment, rural/city divide, ancient culture versus western culture, 1950s versus 2021, selfishness versus generosity, giving, kindness etc.
Putting aside how you feel about each character. (love them, hate them, etc), the show as a whole is asking the viewers to participate in change - a major seismic change, that actually happens very slowly. Generation by generation.
All the older generation Tripathies and the Chatruvedis are still clinging to old norms about class and race and caste divide - the younger ones accepting the change.
Aditiya's voice is the loudest. I can say I like this aspect of his character. But his methods are too pushy. He needs to calm down and use more subtlety. He was the first to reject the idea of marriage to a village girl and now he is the biggest advocate.
More power to Imlie. She will bring change and get the viewers thinking about change.
One small TV show at a time.
Note: I forgot to mention language! There is a big divide between the languages as well! Less-polished Hindi versus regular Hindi
