Yesterday Raghav revealed that he didnot know that the man he saved that night(Mandhar) had died (later on) so he was only "protecting" his sister from the accident..
So my question is apart from the guilt, which would obviously be more if he had known that the person had died, would things be any different? As in, its not like he would've handed her over to police if he had known that Mandhar had died. He would've still protected her like he did when he came to know the truth on the day of Vat Savitri. So I think people should stop assuming that saving Keerthi was so Pallavi doesnt get hurt. No! Saving Keerthi was for Keerthi alone. Yes surrendering himself sure was for Pallavi.
Is anyone assuming that saving Kirti was for Pallavi?? How? No, it was absolutely for Kirti. Turning himself in was for Pallavi, exactly like you said.
I think, one thing he'd have done differently had he known the person had died is probably putting in more effort to find the identity and the family, and support the family indirectly. Kirti, I believe, he'd have protected even more- because the severity of the crime would have been that much higher.

I absolutely agree with you Vaishali. Like you said, the guilt he had in protecting his sister was less when he thought the man he saved was fine but after knowing that man was Mandar and Pallavi’s ex, he still chose to save Kirti. Even I’m not saying his choice was wrong but the fact remains that he would protect Kirti however the situation turns out to be. I think I send you a link to my post that day, where I was saying it’s a difficult choice for Raghav which I completely understand but when it comes to situations like this, there is no choice but to choose the truth and the truth is Mandar got killed by Kirti’s car. I can see why the writers are planning to change the story because at the end of the day, Pallavi can’t live in peace thinking she let a crime to be done without getting justice and Raghav can never let his sister surrender. It’s never a give in situation for both of them, so making someone else the culprit is the only way to go forward.
That's exactly my point.. He would've saved her regardless, whether the man lived or died, whether he got to know that day or 2 years later.. how does it matter then whether or not he felt less guilty or more guilty ? He would've chosen to squash his own conscience, no matter how bad he felt about it, and done the exact same thing-save Keerthi. If the man had died on the spot in his arms that day, he would've still protected Keerthi.. but question is would he have taken the moral high ground of turning himself in then?maybe, maybe not.. People seem to think that all the hustle bustle he went through to prevent Pallavi to get to the truth was to protect Pallavi from getting hurt.. Ermmm NO!!! All that was ONLY to protect Keerthi..so you could say he chose her over Pallavi, in that sense..based on who needed his support more at that point, because it was someone's life and future at stake which is obviously a huge deal... versus Pallavi's quest for truth for a past closure..

@bold:- I think this is where it becomes murky for both Raghav and Pallavi. Raghav was told the patient was under control and then that he was taken by his family. So where and when did Pallavi and D family get the news that Mandar died - How did they identify Mandar as the dead person? I feel we will get it later on when Mandar makes a return. Did anyone in the D family knew that the person who they cremated was not Mandar but someone else ?
