This is kind of random, kind of related, bc it’s about how Raghav approaches Pallavi in a romantic sense - so I’m just going to write it here. I just rewatched them shirt scene. I love Sai & Shivangi for this because I think it has a lot to do with how they interpret their characters:
I love how Raghav never overly touches Pallavi (considering they did not have a love marriage) but he is also not cold with her (out of guilt we know he has). Even in a scene where she’s turning away from him and he calls her name to get her attention or to get her to turn around - he doesn’t go for the hand grab like you’d normally see. I always expect it and it so rarely (if at all?) happens 😂 (see what watching years of ITV has done to my brain 😂). But that’s a good thing! You don’t need to physically grab someone to get their attention.
It’s just the right amount of physical touch - patting her head when she’s sleeping because he’s worried about her, holding her hand in jail because he knows she’s anxious, swiping her hair out of her face bc he’s mesmerized. None of it is aggressive or overly done and that’s what makes Pallavi (ahem. And us..) I think internally swoon even more. It’s part comfort and part gentle flirting - it just depends on the situation. It’s warmth. Idk how else to describe it. It’s like the way he was hugging her in his sleep that one time, it felt like they were both at home in that scene. Or when he slept on her lap or when she rubbed his head. Both Sai and Shivangi are doing an excellent job of showing these types of scenes naturally with a sense of comfort and I love it.
Also. Can we talk about the way he looks at her. That’s all I need right now. I know we all cracks jokes at how “slow” he’s been with her but I just replayed today’s unbuttoning scene - if he wasn’t in this current state, I don’t think we would get to see such stares from him. It’s a mix of awe, surprise, hope, and longing. I LOVE the way he looks at her to the point where I told my cousin if my future man doesn’t look at me like that, I’m not marrying him 😂😂😂. She said to make sure he watches these scenes so he knows how he should look at me 🤣🤣🤣.
Again kudos to Sai 👏🏽 - he pulls of these stare scenes off really well. This is what I love about Indian tv / Bollywood - the way they look at their heroines when they’re so hopelessly in love and are just in awe of their partners 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽. It’s soooooo swooon worthy.
