And I am back. All those who had predicted that Adi would move to Imlie's kona - ding ding ding, you won bragging rights.
So today was day 3 of Adi V/S the Sr. T family, where aaj ka jang started with getting Imlie to sit on the table and eat dinner with everyone else. Sundar gets her food saying saab ne khana bheja, and she assumes it to be "sab ne khana bheja" and gets excited thinking which elder had sent food for her. Sundar tries to cover up saying all of them, but she realizes that he is lying. BS lands up there to take her along with him to eat their food at the table. All the jr T's try to support her to join all of them to eat dinner, but the elders get saying the table is meant for "ghar ke sadasya and if Adi wants her to sit there, then they will no longer eat there", get mad and leave the table, taking the juniors with them. Adi tells Imlie to sit down and eat, as he is there to give her company, leaving the poor girl in 2 minds as to what to do next, sit down where she feels she does not belong or go back to her kona, which is comfortable for her.
Adi goes to speak to his parents and we finally get their conversation. We get an insight into Aparna's mind where she is unable to combine her image of Imlie - bechari, bin baapki, garib bachchi, who needs support and funds to go ahead in life, with one of what she had of her bahu. It reflects back to what she had said about Malini to Adi on his wedding day - That Malini looked beautiful and sophisticated enough to be their bahu and they were lucky that someone of that stature is choosing their son to marry. That chashma is what is causing Aparna to judge Imlie based on everything else other than her qualities, because if she goes there, then her own logic fails and she will not be able to justify her hatred. She was fine as long as she was kamzor, dependent on them for her needs and basically harmless, as she behaved like an innocent child who would never challenge their status quo in any way.
Today we got the "najayaz" reference, where Imlie's paidaish was first compared to how she took najayaz faida of all of their pyaar and support and then to her najayaz rishta to Adi (Wow, did not know that one word could be used in so many connotations, learning for me
). She spewed out all her anger and frustration at being faced with the one situation she never thought she would ever have to face, her own son falling for someone that society does not consider fit to be part of a house like theirs.
Adi was just done today with seeing his parents "asli soch". Today he again realized that he is not just fighting to give his wife her true rights in the family, but fighting against society's thoughts that is coming out of his own family's mouth. He starts the conversation with his mom, saying that he should be punished and made "alag" as all of this is his fault, but Aparna corrects him saying Imlie is "alag" as she does not belong at the table with the rest of them, as she is not "layak" for it. Then at knowing that Malini has told the entire truth to them, he is baffled how knowing that one truth changes the fact that she was considered a part of the family for so long. His line that "Mr C ne jo Amma ke saath kiya wo harkat gandi thi, lekin isse Imlie ka wajood ganda nahi banta" was so well said, as he cannot comprehend how Imlie being najayaz can change anyone's opinion on Imlie or her mother, who were innocent in this equations. Adi tries to explain to them that what happened between Imlie and him did not have her choice as well, while they counter that she chose to come with him to the city and make herself comfortable at their home. Here I know many of us will feel that Adi should have explained the situation of why he got her and how she could have died, but Adi's expression looked like he understood that woh batein would have gone over their head at that time.
Then AT & PT did the one thing they should not have done in front of their ziddi bachcha. They told hime what not do, knowing he will go and do just that to spite the. They said that if Imlie was to remain in their house, she had to remain there knowing her place as the naukrani. Adi flips and how. He first tells them that even if they call her a naukrani, she has proven her qualities enough to not warrant their judgement. He recounts that to fight this soch of society's he became a patrakar, but is surprised that he would ever need to fight this soch from the very people who taught him to fight. (To much use of the word fight, but you get what I mean). Then he goes all mutinous and tells them that they have announced their decision, he will announce his. Imlie is his wife & he will ensure to give her all her rights, starting from now. Adi's parents get worried, thinking what is this boy going to do next and follow him. 
Adi goes to Imlie's kona and takes her potli, asking her to follow him. He takes her towards his room, but is stopped by his family. He explains to them that he is both their culprit, as he was not able to tell the truth and give Imlie her rightful place, yet she made her own place in a corner of the house, which now after knowing the truth they want to take away from her. The family tries to berate him saying he is being besharam, to which he smartly retorts back that does taking my wife in my room count as besharmi (waah kya jawab diya BK ko, chummis). Adi tells Imlie that he took too long to give her rightful place in the house to her and now "Jo humara hai, woh tumhara hai" and asks her to come to her rightful place. Then Imlie does something that no one expected, even Adi. She stops him by holding his hand and stuns everyone there, including Adi. She explains that if what is yours is mine, then this house and the family is also mine, kona sakat. She makes him promise to not take her to his room till the elders agree to their relationship, which spurns Adi to take the decision to move to her kona instead. (Let the 6ft person moving to kona jokes begin)
Next day Imlie has gone to see off her Amma & Dadda, as they need to leave to PD. Imlie tells them that Adi has told the truth to the family and first tries to lie that everything is fine and they accepted her. But Meethi correctly catches her lie and asks her what actually happened. SK gets mad that they are ill treating her, but Meethi stops him saying that rishton ke mamle mein, they cannot use brute force. (Bechara has become putty at Meethi's hands. Like daughter like mother here at least) Meethi assures Imlie that winning over her in-laws is a bahu's first test, and Imlie has always aced every test she has ever given. She warns her that teh road will be difficult, but she knows that Imlie has all the qualities to succeed, where SK reminds her that she is his shagun ka sikka, who will soon become their ghar ki lakshmi. Imlie needed this pep talk at this juncture and I am glad they showed this to us, because to was really well done.
Radha & Aparna plan to have Pallavi's mooh dikhayi (that was why they were all in blue, @Josupra, take a bow, you were right) and meet Imlie waiting to join them to go to the temple. Imlie begs them that all she wants is their love that they showered on her before they knew the truth. Aparna puts the condition that leave my son, wipe this sindoor & I assure you, everything will be back to normal. This breaks Imlie's heart, but makes her speak out her truth. Everytime she has tried to seprate from BS< kismat has broght them back together. Last time it broke her to wipe off her sindoor, but this time she refuses to give up that right, no matter what anyone says or wants. Imlie made her stand very clear, that she is not willing to give up her rights on BS for anyone, so we can be rest assured that this chiraiya will be by her BS's side, fighting in this jung alongside with him.
The precap has BS explicitly saying that he will attend the function with Imlie as his wife else he will not. So we need to see tomorrow, who will land up at the function. Let the guessing games begin.
