Wow Sharda, First of all Thanks for sharing your story to help me understand my questionš¤
Secondly, that's such a sweet story . Your husband sounds like a gem of a person who understood that your thoughts needed to be listened to foremostš .
And yes, I agree. Actions will help us understand the other person more!
Wow! Aaplog humesha Happy rahoš„³š
Yes especially in South during that time - it was basically parents settling the matches and kids were supposed to just accept the decision. Oh my husband actually ran up a bill of $5000 talking to me in one month. Over the month we talked about everything - likes, dislikes, hobbies, movies, home dynamics(I was going from a nuclear family into a big joint family), Staying in US, weather and what not. That actually eased my tension and apprehensions. And even though we were meeting on Feb 4th for the marriage festivities, He landed a week earlier and made the journey to my home place to meet me in person and spend time with me. He landed on a Friday from US and boarded the train on Saturday to come to see me on Sunday and left back to home on Monday. Jet lag is a killer and I really don't know how he made all this possible - that too to spend a day with me. My husband is from Bangalore and I am from Rajahmundry so the train journey is around 20 hours. Yup I kind of knew he was the one for me when he did all this just so that I will be comfortable with him.
