Yes to certain extent..calling actors by onscreen names is okay because they are in character while day..even the name tag outside thier rooms are character names...but my point is when SKR real family is here this JM guy needs to respect that and call him by real name at least. And calibg the portrait and mangaksutra etc as RR is dumb.

Lol, I remember this being a think in KHKT also. The FL was a TV actress, and whenever the ML was on set, he'd get bugged that people call her by her character's name instead of her own.

Shayad aadat pad jaati ho inhe, but at least I find it so strange. Like, even their dressing rooms are labelled 'Raghav' and 'Pallavi'. Like, why? Inki khud ki identity toh erase kar daalenge shaayad. 🤣

This is not happening here in MHRW sets its the same with all the sets of ITV

The unit call the actors by their character names because the entire unit doesn't know the actors by their real name and calling in characters name makes easy for unit to understand what the requirements are been said to be done for whom.

Even with the dressing room you will see all the ITV dressing room has the respective character names written on it.

For ad shoots they don't write any name on the vanity door or dressing room. Only on the film set they write the name of the actor and actresses

Hope this helps

(This should change but I don't think this will change) but never say never anything can happen

Yeah yeah, not calling him out in specific, the general culture of it all. Must be a widespread phenomenon to be featured in a show about the life of TV actors 😆 Plus, I've seen it in BTS of most shows. It's just, there's a lot of identity erasure on sets- actors are still way better off, at least they get identified by their roles- crew is like 'makeup didi', 'hair dada', 'light dada'. I understand the why of it, but I don't like it. I'm imagining everyone in office calling me by my role or designation instead of my name, and it would really suck.

Yes in one bts from hyderabad hotel...the one where amma is stuck in between and Raghav Pallavi are fighting on each side about keerti engagement, in that bts, pallavis on body Mike was getting disturbed by her mangalsutra...so these production guys are saying " wo Pallavi ke gale mein jo Raghav hai wo hil gaya hau" referring to mangalsutra ...and Sai Ketan was confused thinking he moved from his standing position ..then they clarified they are talking about mangalsutra ...🤣

And best part is Shivangi was oblivious to all this because she was practicing dialogues with Amma 🤣
