Virat is an extremely insecure man who is actually acting upon them to disturb his wife's independence. He has absolutely no right to question her on her choice of friends.He has married a younger woman and is trying to dominate her using his self appointed role as her guardian. Let's not forget he actually had the audacity to highlight that she uses his money. He actually uses his authority to throw her out of the house. The whole marriage is ridiculous. In this age to support a person who shouldn't need to marry her against her wishes.

It would have been fine is the show actually highlighted that he is insecure and it is WRONG. But this is being fed as romance. Like it's supposed to be hot and sweet. It's not, frankly. It's cringeworthy. I fast forwarded the scenes. He has an issue with her male friends which is rather hypocritical. He tries to intimidate those boys like he's some kind of ALPHA MALE.

Virat is plain toxic. Sai may look strong and independent which she is but she succumbs to his dominating attitude. She is inexperienced so I don't blame her. She should walk out of the madhouse if she values her independence and self respect.

An 18/19 year old should be living her life and have friends, not cook curries for healthy males who spend the day gossiping or indulge in kitchen politics which disturb mental peace. How long will these kind of things be promoted?

You know I've seen this kind of insecurity in real life. It's so suffocating. I've had friends who were constantly called by their S/O and weren't to communicate with the opposite sex. Very well written not about this serial particulary but almost most of the serial has same kind of storylines showing this is all good and romantic.

Also in laws and husband can be worst person on earth but DIL by sacrificing almost everything like sometimes risking her own life will win their love and be shown as ideal DiL but if she raises her voice she is vamp or uncultured and nobody talks about actual problem and try to go legal way I mean I know there are people who torture their wife or DIL but atleast in serial we can show that this is not acceptable and no ideal DiL should go through all the torture to ultimately win their affection. this is unacceptable also

Sai should hav invited her aai also to the stage as she has always been like a mother to her even went against her son

Exactly in the era of beti bachao beti padao all the serials aree hell bent on giving only one message that become doormat of your in laws husband untill they accept you than again one misunderstanding and repeat

Even the story starts with good story line or promotes women who will be career oriented or have self respect ultimately all the serials have same fate

No matter what she does study/job she has to be perfect in chores only than she is good bahu

I mean most of the audience are women and still they want to instill this belief system or want women to have stock Holm syndrom

And the women who are rich career oriented speaks their heart doesn't take insult from in laws or husband most of the time are depicted as vile women

And some people say that this is for entertainment not to preach still even after showing drama atleast they could somewhere in monologue of FL/ML tell that this is wrong unacceptable and also crime is crime inspite of criminal being your in law Jagtap kidnapped sai so he is criminal, kaku and gang kidnapped pulkit, traumatized Devi and harini what if she would have went into wrong hands what If people have Sold her world is not so good place especially for girls and even kaku gang didn't even try to ensure their grand daughters safety atleast for humanity sake also what they do to Sai hurling abuses at her day and night comparing her to pakhi also making her feel like burden for even eating drinking that's crime domestic violence and what ashiwini faces the way Nina's keep threatening her of physical assault is not less than a crime also in pulkit's documents they changed wife name that's forgery and if an IPS officer who is assigned women's safety related project let it all pass off as normal and something that can be adjusted that I don't know how he is going to treat victims of domestic abuse who would come to him in hope of getting justice

When an IPS officer says this is okay who is shown as righteous police officer not some corrupt one also ML and on top of that FL tries to win heart of the same people rather than making them accountable for their deeds than this serial is surely giving some wrong message

A bahu has to manage all the work.A bahu has to have a baby ! Nahi kiya then you are useless.A bahu has to live in the joint family. She has to struggle to complete the task & be a super human to win the love while the husband sits like a potato on the couch. Why these expectations !! Of course she cant ask for any help coz phir woh mahaan nahi rahegi!!

We are in the 21st century yet these ITV serials are so cringeworthy .
