Families cannot accept if their child marries someone outside of their community and acceptance is hard to come by in many cases, the cultural differences being one, then comes the financial/oonch neech and all that... practically this happens in a family as there are long standing repercussions.

Society is changing but still has a long way to go.

T's reaction is true n in line with reality imo.

nim - senior T reaction is absolutely valid - they had every right to lose it and their support for Malini very understandable...but even when you lose it - there are certain boundaries to respect. The names they dished out to Imlie today belie the affection they have shown her till date. It exposes them for hypocritical classist behavior and in a way invalidates all the lovely T scenes we have all seen to date ... because you question their true feelings for Imlie all this while she was a servant. Folks hated what Prakash said to Imlie when he left her at hostel...about T's loving her only as she was a servant and would throw her out of the house if they thought she was bahu. Today they made his words absolutely true, I did not have a problem with them being upset with her for hiding the truth deceiving them etc...but the naukrani and pehchaan and behuidi nonsense was too much and all about a person they all professed to care about deeply. They can remember all Malini did but completely forgot everything Imlie has done for them to date? They did not even give her a chance to explain herself. The episode would have been better if they had kept the core T family as reasonable and not bracketed them in the same bucket as Anu. They could have refused to accept Imlie for the deception and not on basis of naukrani - that was so disappointing.

We know that Imlie will be accepted and T's will be a happy family soon - the extent to which this disrespect was taken - for me will be very hard to wipe out and enjoy future T scenes unless they do a drastic redemption for them or provide a explanation for their vile classist comments.

The fact the today's episode threw muck on past relationships is what upset me. I can never watch a previous T episode without remembering how they would treat her in future and that they never truly meant anything they said then.

And all this naukrani nonsense - in today's world is way too backward thinking.

I rewatched the epi again... when Apu gives him the thappad and then he looks at Imlie sideways...that was a look, no need of words.. he knew she was feeling his dard.. and then the dawning in her eyes... ST was fab here. 👏. she knows that Adi is upto something, he is going to say or do something.... split second reaction from her. He does the thodphod and before her.. that sync is what Adilie is about. She was still hesitant to give her hand seeing Aparna's reaction n overall T's but as she had promised to be by his side, he made the decision for her.

They have been married twice with all mantras and vidhi vidhaan.. today it was just agni devata as their saakshi. It was to prove a point to his family that he means what he says.. she is his wife with or without their consent. Agni devata is the most important in any ritual and he was their witness yet again. Adilie took the pheras with the awareness of their actions, by choice not by force. To ensure she stayed at the home and not forced to leave by his family.

Thanks ppak for this post. This s what I was thinking while watching the episode. Like I said previously I accept their reactions and thinking but the words they used to imlie was very demeaning. U explained it very well.

It was like taking oath in frunt of agni that every word was telling by him is 100% true.

Most lovely when he said nhi bhul skte na hum na tum... he was making it clear by his word action that this rishta is his everything.....

As he cannt denied with this.. imlie should also not ....log kuch bhi bole...

Every word that T's were saying is same as haters were saying.... Adi was giving answer of each question ...as like he is guving answer to haters...

Not really looking at T's reaction. Its the T's and they will accept Imlie eventually. All that matters is Adi and his reaction. He is a man of his word. He was only concerned of the accusations thrown at his wife, am sure he will continue fighting for her, and may be leave the house if things get too ugly.

BK saying a girl is not innocent or truthful because she is capable of loving someone of the opposite gender is new low! Didnt expect from him too.
