I think Sunny was driving when Mandar was hit and killed. Sunny is manipulative, bad and not a decent person and Kirti will do anything for him.

Once Raghav goes to jail for the crime, Kirti might request Sunny to turn himself in but Sunny will refuse.

Kirti might then finally see the true face of Sunny 🤔

Or Sunny was teaching Kirti how to driving and they hit Mandar.

Raghav said he saw her driving the car.
